Surfing Lesson in Canggu by We Surf Bali

Wayan and his 2 teammates were exceptional! Due to weather concerns, Wayan proactively coordinated our meet-up via WhatsApp. When my partner fell ill last-minute, he kindly rescheduled our booking *off-app* without hassle—truly caring service. The team provided long-sleeve shirts to prevent sunburn. After a quick 15-minute safety intro, we hit the water swiftly. With 3 instructors for our group of 6, we maximized wave time: instructors positioned us perfectly, pushed our boards, and called out paddle/stand cues. Thanks to their guidance, I caught waves—even riding one all the way to shore! Paddling out was tiring (as expected), Bringing kids next time! Post-surf, showers and free water were provided. Also can purchase photos from private photographer afterwards if you want. Wayan's friendly, upbeat coaching and expert tips made this the perfect first surfing experience—fun, safe, and unforgettable!

Two of us had a lesson with Wayan and he was brilliant. He picked us up and did a quick safety and technique session on the beach, allowing us maximum time surfing as we both had surfed once or twice before. He managed us both really well, giving us feedback and confidence to keep trying. I managed to catch a lot of waves and he was very encouraging. I would totally recommend Wayan and this lesson to anyone who is a beginner or has surfed before, it was so much fun and great value for money! Thanks Wayan.

Very recommended for beginners (even if you dont know how to swim is also fine!!) This is our third time with Wayan, as always, the class is very very fun!! Wayan is a very professional and experienced surfer 🥰

Wayan and Yanto took 3 of us, taught us the basics and provided us a great experience. They helped us catch the waves multiple times and stand on the board despite it being our first time surfing. Very beginner friendly, and they also made sure the entire process was safe and easy, reassuring us we could go back to the beach if we feel tired (one of us did). Location was easy to find. There was also a photographer capturing us the whole time and we could buy pics from them. Highly recommend the experience!🤙🏼 :)

Thank you Wayan for making our first surf experience such an amazing one! The class started off with some practice on sand with safety briefing, followed by paddling out safely together with Wayan. he was extremely patient and provided many tips for us to catch the waves! we felt very safe and will definitely come back again to surf with Wayan!

If you are in Canggu, you are a beginner and want to try surfing, look no further! Wayan and the team are exceptional. It was safe and fun! They will arrange for a pick up if you’re in the Canggu area and my instructor was Ian. Lessons were a 2 to 1, unfortunately it was a cloudy day so the weather wasn’t perfect but it made for some great surfs. You do get a theory lesson for about 5-10 minutes learning how to paddle and the stance of standing on the board. Ian was very patient and with clear instructions, overall I had a awesome time and wouldn’t hesitate to come back and surf again! Bring a towel to dry yourself after and some cash to pay the photographers if you like the pictures but if not that’s fully optional.
