What to expect
The breathtaking mountain scenery and beautiful landscape of the Berchtesgadener Land will impress you. We’ll drive up to an altitude of about 1,000 meters, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit the “Dokumentation Obersalzberg” museum on the Obersalzberg for a fee with a historical bunker complex. Our guide will provide you with comprehensive information about the historical events and lead a short walking tour on the Obersalzberg to the ruins of the “Berghof”.
Since the Eagle’s Nest burned down on October 23, 2026, we are currently unable to offer a trip up to this historic viewpoint. However, you can see the building from a distance from the Obersalzberg.
Afterward, we’ll drive to the town of Berchtesgaden for a short stop, where our tour guide will lead a guided tour of the town

Reviews
it’s an unbelieavably beautiful place to visit! for sure a must visit: breathtaking views and yummy food on the way. definetely recommend for everyone
Excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. The tour also left enough time for me to explore all the interesting sites. The view on top was stunning. You can see Salzburg and Konigsee if weather is nice. However, the site is remote and inevitably takes some time to travel to. Also, you will need to buy tickets (€32 each in 2024) for another bus to go to Eagle's Nest as the bus route is monopolised.
Amazing Experience at Eagle's Nest! Our tour to Eagle's Nest was absolutely wonderful. The booking process was smooth, the transportation was comfortable, and the guide was very knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting history along the way. The views from the top were breathtaking, definitely worth the trip! Everything was well-organized, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the journey. Highly recommended for anyone who's into history with a fascinating place to visit! --- If you want, I can also create a few variations depending on the tone you want (more casual, more professional, more detailed, etc). Shall I?
A relatively long ride to Eagle’s Nest. The extra cost is the 32€ to go up Eagle’s Nest which would add substantially to the cost. The good part is the visit to Eagle’s Nest and NS documentation centre, and also a visit to Berchtesgaden which is a nice little town.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave detailed introductions to Munich's history, culture and salt mine business, brief introductions to the lives of Ludwig II and Hitler, to the origin of the town and the Eagle's Nest.
The tour guide explained German history very thoroughly. Their English was standard and didn't use overly difficult vocabulary, roughly equivalent to an advanced English proficiency level. The tour bus was comfortable, and it was definitely worthwhile visiting the Eagle's Nest to learn about Nazi history.
This is a worthwhile attraction, and we were lucky to have good weather. The tour guide was also very dedicated, providing explanations throughout the trip. Additionally, you'll need to prepare 35 Euros in cash for the special bus ride up to Eagle's Nest. A reminder message will be sent before the trip.
Had a wonderful day out. Amazing scenery!
generally ok experience. weather wasn’t the best but the guide are responsible and friendly. would recommend over all.
Well worth a visit! The scenery is beautiful. The tour guide Marien is very responsible and explains the history of Munich and World War II in detail. It is in-depth and simple. Unfortunately, the cultural relics center only has two hours, which is a bit short and can only be browsed quickly. But overall, it is very recommended and suitable for those who are too lazy. hitchhiker
