What to expect
Water Blessings are a traditional Cambodian practice that date back to ancient times. You'll be driven to an ancient pagoda, nestled in the beautiful countryside outside Siem Reap where you'll have a choice of two rituals. The first is almost a taster: a blessing accompanied by a light sprinkling of water. The second is the real deal: you'll be completely covered in water blessed by the monks (don't worry, you'll get a sarong to change into for the experience), whilst the monks chant in unison. At the end of your blessing, you'll receive a special red tie that signifies the ritual that was performed. This is a unique experience for individuals but can also be a special way for newly weds to celebrate their union as it's said that the blessing brings peace and happiness.

this was my first activity for my first day in Cambodia, and it was amazing. my guide was so informative and nice, I learned so much. we talked on the way to the temple and back about siem reap and the history of the country. we toured the temple and then offered the monk food and gifts. Then you change your cloths into a robe they give you and then you receive the water blessing. they will give you everything you need and allow yourself at least 3 hours.
My first experience of traditional water blessing. wonderful experience. Recommended. Tour guide was good in explaining the temple.
The water blessing at this temple was an experience! Thank you Lim for looking after us during the tour. Would be back again to this lovely country. Love the dogs at the temple too ❤️
The blessing also included a walk through a local market, tasting some herbs and local sweets :-) Lim is a fantastic knowledgeable guide who made sure I was comfortable/happy at all times. As we walked through the monastery he even shared some of his own personal story of studying at a monastery. Very informative and more than expected. :-)
Our tour guide ‘Lim’ was fabulous , very knowledgable and enjoyed providing us with stories about the history of Buddhism . Without him it would not have been such a good experience . The blessing itself was an awesome experience .
nothing great if you dont believe in water blessing... for me its like purefication so worth every prayers chant during water blessing...
Picked us up in time from the hotel and we rode around the city in til tusk. our guide was great at answering our questions and taught us a ton about the monastery, lives of monks and he even gave us a great tour of a local market. The water blessing was shockingly cold and lasted quite longer than we thought but our guide was amazing and took photos and videos of the blessing for us! If you are looking for a unique tour that isn’t packed with tourists and dives into local “real” lives of the Cambodian people, this is the perfect tour for you. 10/10 recommend.
Our tour guide and Tuk Tuk driver were both so kind and caring. He explained a lot and it was way more than just water blessing but also a great introduction to Cambodia main religion, beliefs and habits
The guide was very knowledgeable about the blessing and open to informing me about how Cambodians use this in their lives. The experience was well worth it. I highly recommend this experience. I did not have pictures taken of this sacred moment.
A truly humbling experience. Tour was very informative, my guide was friendly and corteous. Highly recommended
