Traveler reviews
Singapore Zoo is definitely worth a visit! The park's open-concept design allows animals to live in simulated natural environments, making them appear more at ease and authentic. The elephant bathing experience is particularly impressive. Many other activities are also fun, offering close-up interactions. The park is quite large, so I recommend setting aside at least half a day to explore it thoroughly. Purchasing tickets through Klook is very convenient; you can simply scan the QR code on your phone to enter, saving you time from waiting in line. Overall, with its rich variety of animals and comfortable environment, it's an activity that both adults and children can enjoy.
After purchasing tickets through Klook, you'll need to reserve your visit date on the Mandai website, which is straightforward; just enter the code. The price is cheaper than booking on-site and includes a free tram ride. There are four pick-up/drop-off points, and the tram runs in a figure-eight loop. If you're up for it, you can walk. It takes a full day to see everything. I recommend catching all three shows in the morning, taking a break for lunch, and then exploring the rest in the afternoon. I don't recommend buying combo tickets for multiple zoos in one day; you definitely won't have enough time to see everything.
We got the 5 park 1 day combo pass but beware as turning it into an actual ticket has one tricky moment which I fell foul of. The 5 parks includes the night zoo so when you pick the date there is then a second part which asks for a time. If your brain isn’t switched on (which mine was not) you will not notice that the time is specific to the Night Zoo and it’s not the time of entry in the morning. in fairness the times do say pm but I missed it and went and booked the latest possible time 9:45pm!). The problem with that is that if you are at the zoo all day the main zoo closes at 6:00 then the Night zoo opens. They do not allow you to change the time once it has been selected. Anway a very long night awaited us do to my mistake! Overall there are a lot of good things about the zoo. I do not think The rainforest wild adventure park is really all that good, lots of jungle but very few animals and ultimately I though I wasted my time there. The rest were good and easily done in 1 day.
not a lot of people when we go. for ticket entry was easy, just show the staff the barcode, they will scan and enter. zoo itself was very well kept. animal look healthy.
Visited Singapore Zoo and Night Safari as a combo experience. The zoo is well maintained, clean, and easy to explore, with a natural environment for the animals. We especially enjoyed the sea lion show, which was entertaining and one of the highlights of the day. The real standout for us was the Night Safari. It was a unique and memorable experience unlike a regular zoo visit. The Creatures of the Night show was excellent, and the tram ride through the park at night was very enjoyable and something different to experience. Overall, the zoo was good, but Night Safari was the highlight and definitely worth visiting.
Since the zoo is a bit far from the city, we planned a full day to visit, but it only took about half a day (4 hours) to explore everything. If you're also visiting the Night Safari, I recommend coming in the afternoon. Although the park is quite large, there's a shuttle bus that you can ride unlimited times, making the overall experience very good!
We had a very good experience at the Singapore Zoo, with a great variety of animals and well-designed enclosures that make it enjoyable for all ages. We stayed about four hours due to fatigue, but it’s definitely ideal to allot a full day if you want to explore everything properly. Be prepared for a lot of walking and warm weather, bringing a portable fan really helps. There are also tram services available, which are convenient for resting between sections and managing the distance, especially for families. Overall, it’s a worthwhile and well-maintained attraction.
Booked the 4 in 1 admission combo ticket including Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, River Wonders and Night Safari with Tram Ride via Klook App. The combo ticket proved beneficial in terms of pricing and convenience. The combo ticket is valid for 7 days from your first visit to Night Safari. Great concept of open zoo adding to the experience of visiting such a wildlife paradise.
