Although the departure time is early, the meeting point is comfortable, with a clean waiting room and restrooms. Our guide was very knowledgeable and an excellent speaker, so the long car ride was never boring and served as a great pre-tour learning experience. While going on your own might save money, visiting these places with a guide who can teach you about them provides a completely different level of understanding. I would love to have Mr. Takahashi, who was our guide, lead another tour for us in a different location.
I felt at ease with a tour company catering to Japanese travelers! The tour bus was a comfortable, large Mercedes-Benz, and I appreciated being able to charge my devices. I booked a tour with meals included, but the food was a bit disappointing. However, the guide was excellent!
