The inspiration for Hi Buddy Barbecue Institute comes from founder Mr. Li's love for his daughter. The first restaurant opened in China in 2015, inspired by his daughter's passion for barbecue. Mr. Li combined Asian grilling techniques and selected premium meats and sauces. He traveled to Japan to learn about Wagyu beef, to Taiwan for eel cuisine, and to Qiqihar for Northeast China barbecue culture. The restaurant quickly became popular in China and has now expanded to Tanjong Pagar, Singapore, bringing the same passion and quality.
