- Most visitors spend no more than 30 minutes inside the Washington Monument itself
- The Washington Monument requires all guests to go through physical security screening to access the monument. The security line normally takes around 15-30 minutes but can be even longer on major holidays
- Strollers are not permitted inside the Monument. You must leave the stroller in the designated, unattended parking area outside, often near the entrance or along the side of the building
- Kindly refer to the map for your visit
- Large bags and weapons are prohibited
- Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue
- Pets are not allowed inside the venue, with the exception of service animals with valid identification
- Smoking and drinking is not allowed. You will immediately be asked to leave if caught by a staff member
- Dangerous materials and items such as bottles, firecrackers, lasers, and other things that may disturb or inconvenience other attendees are prohibited inside the venue
- Photography is allowed, but taking videos and photos for commercial purposes, as well as the live broadcasting of the show is strictly prohibited

- The booking confirmation is not your ticket to the Washington Monument. The QR-coded ticket to the Washington Monument will be emailed to you, along with the exclusive guidebook, from the operator the day before your scheduled visit
- If you have not received your Monument ticket and guidebook by email 2 hours before your scheduled tour time, call the local operator (Attractions4Us) at +1-212-512-0515. Call center hours (EST) are daily 9.00 - 17.00; emergency hours 17:00 - 20:00

- Arrive at the meet-up location 15 minutes before the scheduled activity time
- Latecomers or no-shows can't be refunded
- Visitors must arrive by the time on their ticket. If late, National Park Service staff have discretion to limit/deny monument entry

The space at the top of the tower is not large; it mainly offers views from all four sides and a small historical introduction. You can see most of it in about 15 minutes. If you're interested in historical architecture, booking this tour to avoid queues is very convenient and well worth it.

Unfortunately Washington Monument was closed on the day of my visit. While the closure was of no fault of the ticketing agent, I would expect a refund as a goodwill. However the ticketing agent has not responded to my refund request.
