- This activity has no age limit
- Free admission: Attendants who are accompanying guests with accessibility needs are eligible. Kindly inform the venue's staff at the admission desk
- Please note that tickets are only valid for day admission and cannot be used for special events like Festival of Lights
- Seasonal self-guided tour pamphlets and/or visitor guide maps are available at the information desk
- 1 April-31 October: Guided tours are offered by trained volunteers (Daily at 13:00, plus Wednesdays at 10:30)
- 1 November-31 March: Guided tours are offered only on Sunday at 13:00
- Please note that all tours are weather permitting
- The VanDusen Gift Shop and The Garden Cafe (Truffles) are open daily during garden hours
- Food services: Shaughnessy Restaurant and The Garden Cafe
- VanDusen Gift Shop: The gift shop opens at 10am daily until the garden closes
- What to wear: Comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing (Shirts and shoes are required)
- Guests are allowed to bring a picnic and a blanket to enjoy in the garden. Lawn chairs and coolers are permitted on the Great Lawn only
- Please be responsible for your personal belongings. Klook / the operator will not be held liable for any lost belongings during the trip
- Please do not feed or handle wildlife
- Please stay on designated pathways and lawn areas; do not walk on plant beds
- Feeding animals, picking plants, or removing flowers is prohibited
- Kindly do not remove plant labels
- Drone use, sports equipment (Balls, frisbees, hula hoops, hockey sticks, and etc.) & tripods (Limited to grassy areas only)
- Swimming in lakes, ponds, or waterfalls
- Amplified music and outside alcohol (Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at on-site licensed establishments)
- Smoking of any kind, including vaping
- Portable grills
- Please leave rollerblades, skate boards, and tricycles and home and lock up bicycles outside the visitor centre. Wagons are allowed in the venue
- The VanDusen Visitor Centre, Administration Building, Floral Hall, Shaughnessy Restaurant and most paved garden paths are accessible to wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and walkers
- Garden pathways, both paved and unpaved, may be uneven. Caution is advised for those using walking aids
- Some steps lack handrails or have handrails on only one side
- Accessible washrooms are available at the VanDusen Visitor Centre, with additional portable accessible washrooms throughout the garden
- A non-gendered washroom is also provided, welcoming all genders
- Parking: The parking lot is located on West 37th Avenue, just off of Oak Street
- Accessible parking is available, and parking is free. An accessible drop-off loop is located just off Oak Street, near the garden's front entrance
- Sensory: Vehicles and machinery, such as lawn mowers, may be in use at times, which could affect those with sensory sensitivities
- Sensory support kits, including tinted glasses, noise-cancelling headsets, are available for guests who may need them. Please reach out to the admission staff to borrow a kit
- Pets are not allowed inside the venue, with the exception of service animals with valid identification
- This activity is stroller and wheelchair-accessible
- The voucher is valid only on the specified date (and time if applicable)
