- Katsurahama area is open for free all day. The Ryoma Memorial Museum and the aquarium require on-site ticket purchases. It is recommended to prepare cash or confirm the payment method in advance. If you want to wait for the sunset, you can bring your own snacks and drinking water.
- Makino Botanical Garden is open from 9:00-17:00. Adult tickets are about 850 yen. High school students and younger are free. The restaurant in the park can solve lunch. It is recommended to go during off-peak hours during peak dining times.
- Chikurin-ji Temple is adjacent to Makino Botanical Garden and can be reached on foot. The sutra transcription meditation experience in the temple needs to be booked in advance, and the fee is about 50 yen per person. Please observe temple etiquette and keep quiet when participating.
- Gotaizan Observatory can be reached directly by bus to the top of the mountain. If you choose to walk up the mountain, it takes about 20 minutes. The slope of some sections of the mountain road is relatively steep, so please do what you can. Pay attention to safety when shooting the sunset and night scenes in the evening, and take good care of your personal belongings.
- It is recommended to bring sunscreen and rain gear with you in case of sudden weather changes; respect local customs, and do not make loud noises or touch cultural relics in temples.
