Samurai Armor Experience at Maruoka Castle

Experience wearing samurai armor at Maruoka Castle, a former National Treasure and National Important Cultural Property of Japan. Choose from two types of armor: one worn by a high-ranking samurai or one by a regular samurai, and learn about the differences while dressing. Armor is available for adults, children, and even small dogs or cats, so families and pets can join in the fun. Local staff will assist with putting on the armor and explain its history and features. Walking around the castle in full armor lets you step back in time and feel like a real samurai. Please note that professional photography is not included, but you are welcome to take your own photos to capture the memories.
