But aside from these beautiful sceneries, this prefecture is also the home of the famous Bizen pottery of Japan which you could learn when you join this activity! This traditional pottery is a popular item in Japan that became known for its reddish brown color, lack of glaze, and its shatterproof characteristic! In this experience, you’ll be taught by a local potter for two hours where you’ll be involved in every step of the way in making your very own Bizen ware. You can help smash old dry clay, knead the dissolved ones with your foot, and shape it using either an electric wheel or by hand. Once you’re done you can appreciate your finished product and even take it home!
