The staff is super helpful and sweet! They have snacks available for purchase and worth spending. The capybaras were sleepy when we arrived but the snacks woke them right up. They taught us that their hairs standup when they like you! I also left my phone here, and the staff held it until I returned. They also verified it was me before returning the phone. The capybaras are much bigger than I expected.
This cafe was pretty cool. my kiddo like capybareas so we came here for their Birthday. The experience was quiet and peaceful. We got to feed them lettuce pieces and pet them. the area is very small but the people inside is limited so there was plenty of time to have a personal experience with the Capys. I would recommend if this is favorite animal or something you would like to experience. The area around/outside the cafe is extreamly busy especially on the weekend so be prepared for the large crowds outside the cafe.
It was an amazing experience, getting to interact with such relaxed animals in the heart of Harajuku. I would strongly recommend this to all travelers - single people, couples, and parents with children. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and do have a level of English communication. However, as with all things, a basic knowledge of Japanese can go a long way.
This was such a cute experience lol we went as the first group in the morning. The capybara's were chill & friendly. The staff was so sweet & gave us some treats to give the capybaras.
great experience, we turned up early and were let in early, great access to the beautiful animals, they were very calm and appeared to be healthy and well cared for. The coffee out of the vending machine was the temperature of the sun and the cup burnt my hand, otherwise a fantastic experience. well worth the money!
Busier than I expected give the price you pay for your time. we were one of three small groups (about 10 people total). The animals were all active the day we were there and seem well cared for. Don’t be late because they were strick on the time, which makes sense since they are so popular.
The Capybaras looked very happy and content. Soaking up the attention and relaxing. The carers were excellent and obviously had the animals best interest by making sure everyone followed the rules and that no one upset them. a very small space with 4 x Capybaras to sit with. 30 minutes was plenty of time.
great experience, my wife absolutely loved it! we werent given many instructions other than the safety rules, so if you are ready this know that the vending machine in the back is for the free drinks they talk about in the listing!
The Capybaras are well cared for and sweet creatures! I wouldn’t call it a cafe as there is only a vending machine at the back if you want to pay for something. The feeding is 1000 Yen extra - but worth it.
For capybara lovers, this place is highly recommended. The capybaras are friendly, and you can even feed them.
