Heritage Tour at Raffles Singapore

Great way to spend an afternoon. Was lucky that this turned out to a private tour as there wasn’t anyone else which was a plus. Got to learn about the Raffles’ history and Nazir who led the tour was a delight! Satay at the end was so so but appreciated the snack.

The tour was very educational, a lot of interesting facts about Singapore’s cultural icons and national symbols, how they came to be. Rosli, the inhouse historian was so knowledgeable and gracious host. Worth it and satay was also good. Definitely will recommend.

the resident historian, Mr Nazir Yusof who was nice and pleasant gentleman, gave my friend and I a wonderful detailed tour of the hotel. Now I know the chandelier in the lobby weighs close to a tonne and it has to be cleaned every few months. the satay set at the courtyard was wonderful too!

We had a truly memorable experience joining the Heritage Tour at Raffles Hotel Singapore, thanks to our wonderful guide, Roslee. Roslee was incredibly warm, knowledgeable and attentive throughout the tour. He shared fascinating stories about the hotel’s rich history, from the famous tiger incident in 1902 to the creation of the Singapore Sling. His enthusiasm and detailed explanations really brought the history of Raffles to life. What impressed us most was his genuine hospitality. Although we were simply visiting for the heritage tour, Roslee treated us with such warmth and respect that we felt like valued guests. He even took a lovely family photograph for us in the Grand Lobby and thoughtfully emailed it to us afterwards. It is rare to encounter someone who takes such genuine pride in his work and goes the extra mile to make visitors feel welcome. We will remember this visit fondly and would highly recommend the Heritage Tour to anyone interested in Singapore’s history!

Lovely experience learning about the history of Raffles Hotel. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

A highly recommended tour because you learn a lot about the history and discover so many wonderful photo spots. The hotel was so exclusive, and I was very happy to have gotten a little glimpse from our tour guide. The Singapore Sling Zero and the satay skewers were the perfect ending. All the staff members were very friendly and helped me find the meeting point at the beginning, which is inside the souvenir shop. Thank you very much for the great experience.

I truly enjoyed the tour follow by a nice satay n drink ( part of the package) at the courtyard. The Resident Historian was superb in providing lots of hotel histories, also visited the Long Bar and their hotel room. It’s a good tour for both local and tourist.

Nazaimoddin resident historian gave an interesting history of Raffles Hotel (RH) starting from the late 19th century to the present time. RH’s history is so rich that I really learned a lot during my tour. it’s a grand beautiful hotel with its serene & well-manicured gardens & coutyard etc. The whole place is so spotlessly clean & well maintained. The staff are all friendly, polite & helpful. RH is is a 6 star hotel & a Singapore’s gem. Thank you RH for enabling me to visit the place. It’s is really worth my time to know the hotel’s history & the opportunity to stroll around the place.
