What to expect

Your Giraffe Centre and Kazuri Beads Tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. You'll be driven to the Giraffe Centre, which is located in the Karen suburb of Nairobi.
Upon arrival at the Giraffe Centre, you'll be given a brief introduction to the Rothschild's giraffe, an endangered species that is native to Kenya.
You'll then have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the giraffes by feeding them pellets from a raised platform.
You'll be driven to the Kazuri Beads factory. Kazuri Beads is a women's cooperative that produces beautiful and unique handmade beads and jewelry.
When you arrive at the Kazuri Beads factory, you'll be given a tour of the facility to see how the beads are made from the initial mixing of the clay to the final firing of the bead.
