What to expect
- Puning Yingge Love is a stunning performance that deeply integrates the Chaoshan intangible cultural heritage Yingge dance with drama art. As a representative traditional folk dance in the Chaoshan area, the dancers hold wooden mallets, wear colorful silk, step on the sonorous drums, and interpret heroic stories with vigorous and heroic dance postures. On this basis, "Yingge Love" uses innovative choreography, incorporates ups and downs of the plot and modern stage technology, and uses the unique body language of Yingge dance to tell the patriotism and love and hatred of the Chaoshan children. When the Yingge mallet sounds, the dancers' vigorous formation changes, combined with dazzling lights and exciting music, will bring the audience a double feast of vision and hearing, and take you to appreciate the unique charm and profound heritage of Chaoshan culture
- "Yingge Love" takes Puning Yingge dance as its root, and through the ingenious carving of modern artistic techniques, it pushes this intangible cultural heritage treasure to a new artistic height. The performance is based on the history and culture of Chaoshan. In the rhythm of dancers leaping, hitting hammers, and cheering, the magnificent picture of the pioneering struggle of the ancestors of Chaoshan is reproduced. The play incorporates Chaozhou opera singing and traditional instrumental performances. The sounds of Chao flute, Erxian, gongs and drums interweave with the fierceness of Yingge dance to form a wonderful chemical reaction of hardness and softness, making the audience seem to travel through time and space and be in the magnificent history of Chaoshan.
- Entering the performance site, the audience will be surrounded by immersive stage design. The huge dynamic projection screen is combined with real-life props to create a variety of scenes from the streets of quaint villages to the stormy coast of the South China Sea. When the dancers form classic formations such as "centipede formation" and "Bagua formation" and shuttle and move in the changing light and shadow, the martial arts strength and dramatic tension contained in Yingge dance are fully displayed.
