"Travel Back in Time to the Palace and Step into the Century-Old Hall of European Porcelain Art"
Taiwan's First Museum Dedicated to 19th-Century European Royal Kiln Porcelain Art
In southern Taiwan, there is a tranquil space that houses a vast collection of century-old European 19th-century royal kiln porcelain.
400 years ago, Taiwan was an island for porcelain transshipment; 400 years later, we encounter the world’s most exquisite porcelain art again on this land. Each exhibit is a letter from the past, quietly waiting for you to read.

The museum's collection includes 19th-century European royal kiln porcelain – Meissen from Germany, which started the pattern; KPM Berlin's delicate brushstrokes; the extraordinary beauty of Sèvres, France; the manor and rural charm of Royal Worcester, England; and the dazzling gold of Royal Vienna, Austria. Each artistic style blooms like a beautiful flower, pursuing the beauty of abundance and layering.
Porcelain was once hailed as “white gold” and was also a symbol of power for royalty and nobles. Since Meissen, Germany, fired the first hard-paste porcelain in the 18th century, opening the porcelain era, Europe’s top porcelain art has been highly respected for centuries. The museum invites everyone to a feast of beauty, entering the artistic palace of 19th-century European royalty.

Introduction to European Royal Porcelain Kilns:
- Meissen Porcelain: Meissen porcelain has the longest history, and the themes it focuses on are the deepest and broadest. As the founding brand of European porcelain to this day, it brings people not only craftsmanship but also broad knowledge covering world culture.
- KPM: KPM porcelain paintings, like real paintings, bring people a delicate texture with meticulous detail. The complex porcelain-making process allows superb painting skills to be permanently preserved in the form of porcelain.
- Sèvres: The fashion pedigree of France is unique, with a bold and unconventional aesthetic, as if you can see the joy of the nobles laughing and talking in the salons at that time.
- Royal Worcester: Reversing the tradition of painting portraits, it focuses on depicting fruits, flowers, animals, and castle manors, reflecting the rise of still life and landscape paintings.
- Royal Vienna: Pushing the art of decoration to the extreme, the dazzling array of floral decorations, gold edges, celebrities, and mythological stories make people stop for a long time and linger.
