Half-Day Rangko Cave and Sand Island Tour from Labuan Bajo

It was such a lovely experience with Hanafy! He was firstly warm and welcoming! The boat ride was shaded so that was a plus…reached the Dock and walked up through the woods along the beach to the cave!! The cave was quaint and super calm. Easy to swim in and super aesthetic too! From there we went off to find the sandbar which was forming as we reached! We were right in the middle of the ocean on solid ground with water on all side! crazy experience!! loved every bit of it

a hidden gem in Labuan Bajo, very special experience to swim inside a cave, also experienced the chill time in floating island. the trip is well organized from hotel pick up and return, thanks Pak Suwandi and his team.

Our tour guide was excellent and offered great value for money. Joe, our guide, spoke very good English and was extremely friendly. I highly recommend booking with him if you get the chance. I'm not sure if it's always the same guide, but Joe provided fantastic service. He was always willing to help, even offering to carry my bag. Definitely worth it! brilliant itinerary for a short getaway to the rangko cave and the rangko sandbar. Hanafy is very knowledgeable about the origins of the cave and the general area, and was super punctual in setting up the details regarding the transport, and making sure the transport arrived punctually. the visit to the cave is also done at a time where there aren’t many people, where the bulk of tourists aren’t there yet. I was completely alone in the cave which was amazing, but was still able to see the very blue waters as per the pictures. highly recommended tour, especially for solo travellers since most other tours require you to pay for both folks if you’re going solo. groups would have a great time here too though!

This experience was absolutely fantastic! The entire process was so much fun, and we even had the cave all to ourselves for 70% of the time! We also went swimming and snorkeling at the nearby Sand Island, which felt amazing. The water was incredibly clear, and there were so many fish. There was plenty of time for activities, more than enough for us to fully enjoy ourselves! Our guide, Joe (Hanafy), was excellent and humorous, and communication from booking to the end of the trip was perfect. We had an incredibly great time and highly recommend it!

This was an amazing experience unlike any other I've had before. The meeting time was set for 9:30 AM, and there was a reason for that: it was timed to coincide with the appearance of Sand Island. The tour isn't well-known, so I was the only participant and had a private experience.

We were picked up at our hotel by motorbike and it was a great way to make our way to the boat, we felt they drove safely and at the right speed for the road conditions. Hanafy told us about some of the local life and even organised a last minute trip for us to see the flying foxes at a very reasonable price. Overall a great experience. I thoroughly recommend.

1. The shuttle driver had a very bad attitude. At around 8:00 AM for an 8:00 AM pickup, he immediately started yelling, "I've been waiting for you for an hour!" which was very confusing. 2. Although a private boat charter for two is more expensive, the itinerary is very flexible. We could adjust it to spend less time snorkeling and more time in the stalactite caves. The boat crew was also excellent, took beautiful photos for us, and was very polite.
