Reviews
We did the half day Médoc wine tour and had a great experience. We were happy to have Maud as our guide again, and she was also our driver for the day. As usual she was very informative, friendly, and everything was well organised. Pickup was right on time which made the trip smooth and easy. Since we had visited Saint-Émilion the day before, it was really interesting to compare the wines from the right bank and the left bank. It made the experience even more enjoyable and educational. If you have the time, we would definitely recommend doing both tours to get the full Bordeaux wine experience. Highly recommend!
I was worried because it was an English guide, but I went on the tour. The guide was very friendly and fun, so there was no time to be bored during the tour. It was great that they had a lot of knowledge about wine and answered various questions! We did the half-day tour and visited 2 chateaux! It was a course where we could visit two chateaux, 'CHATEAU FERRIERE' / 'CHATEAU DAUZAC', and taste 3 glasses of wine and take a winery tour! In the middle, they showed us the vineyard and explained the age and related information of the grapevines, and in the middle, we stopped by 'Chateau Margaux' and had time to look around the vineyard and take pictures in front of the castle :) We were able to travel comfortably in a multi-seat Mercedes-Benz! I personally booked with doubts, but I really think I did a great job taking the tour. It was so much fun and I was so satisfied that I wanted to take a full-day tour next time with more time. If other Koreans are also worried, I recommend you to experience it at least once if you like wine 👍👍 (However, tours are usually conducted in 2 languages, English and French, and the winery only explains in French or English, so you need to be able to speak English to some extent to enjoy it more ㅠㅠ I can hardly speak English, but the guides and winery tour guides explained everything very easily, so if you listen slowly, there won't be any major problems with the tour!!) (I want to upload more pictures, but it's a pity there are only 6)
The tour guide was professional and attentive. We visited two wineries and one winery that day. Both wineries are very beautiful and have a long history. The winery is just average. The wines in these two places are delicious!
When passing through Bordeaux, sign up for a half-day tour of a winery.
I joined a half day tour. The tour guide came at the starting time of the tour. There were 7 participants in the tour. The guide drived us to Chateau Pieure Lichine and Lascombes. After visited the wineries, there were tasting with vintage 2014 and 2012.
Our guide, Carol, was very kind and provided informative explanations about the wineries. We visited two wineries, both of which were quite sophisticated and distinctly different, making for an excellent comparison.
This time we visited two wine gardens, level 4 and level 5, with professional tour guides. When you come to Bordeaux, why not visit a wine estate!
it helped me a lot because I could book the winery tour at the last minute I visited Bordeaux. I had a great encounter with the attendees as well!
It was an incredibly enjoyable winery tour with Rodolphe. We were lucky to have the tour just for my wife and me. Rodolphe was so kind and cheerful. We learned so much from him, and thanks to him, we take home wonderful memories of Korea. We are very grateful for his recommendations of Saint-Émilion châteaux and travel plans as well. If Koreans see this article, I highly recommend it~~ It was such a memorable memory that my wife and I talked about the tour the whole time we were having dinner. It was one of the best memories I have had since coming to France. He is so kind and cheerful. He is fluent in German, Spanish, and English, and he is also cheerful and kind!!
Our guide/driver Rodolfo made the experience worthwhile. He was knowledgeable and taught us much! It was almost like a private trip (only one other couple) in the most comfortable vehicle. Highly recommended for wine lovers as it is difficult to visit vineyards/wineries in the area on public transportation.
