Nestled in a beautiful little valley in Yame, Villa ARTIS—‘Village of Art’ in Latin—is an artistic haven conceived by a dynamic calligraphy artist Chikako Nakashima. This unique space is designed to inspire creativity and awaken the artistic spirit in everyone. In this intimate hands-on workshop, you’ll be guided by Chikako Nakashima herself, along with a local guide, to craft your own unique calligraphy artwork inspired by your name. Using Yame washi paper, meticulously crafted by local artisans, you will experience calligraphy not merely as a visual art but as an avenue for self-expression and mindful contemplation. Dive into this unparalleled cultural and artistic journey, where the seamless blend of nature, tradition, craftsmanship, and art creates a truly harmonious experience.
