Amazing trip to Katla Volcano Ice cave. The tour guide meet at Vik inn hotel lobby with toilet and coffee facilities before the tour start. Tour guide very professional, very clear explanation and help us take some nice photos. It is recommended to join when visit Vik.
very interesting trip, our guide John is very informative & cheerful, made the journey very fun. the trip involves moderate walking at the ice glacier, walking distance from parking area to the cave is not that far, involves bit of slope up and down but the path is probably shape very easy to walk on with the crampton provided. group size: 12 people.
clear instruction and easy to redeem.. short hike to ice.. guide is friendly and provide clear description..
Great experience! Our guide, Gabriel, was INCREDIBLE! So kind, helpful and informative. He was making sure to cater specifically to a couple people in our group that had some physical concerns including my wife who had a hip injury from many years back that created some personal apprehension. He made us all feel reassured and confident in completing the hike, yet we did not feel forced to continue or rush if we became uncomfortable. We would take plenty of breaks to admire the surroundings and thought it was a perfect pace. The only reason for some slight deductions is that the glacier is melting incredibly fast and many of the caves that were there just weeks ago are now unable to be explored or completely gone. It is the sad reality of these glaciers. While I cannot hold this against the tour directly, it does take a little away from the experience and limits the value of the tour just a bit. Also, important to note that this IS a glacier hike, not just a drive to a cave and back.
excellent tour, if u have free time must join. our tour guide is good and friendly. worth to go this tour.
