Master Yang used to be a chef at a star-rated hotel, but he yearned for a more free-spirited, down-to-earth lifestyle. Leaving behind a stable and well-paying environment, he opened a noodle restaurant on a small street in Chengdu, which quickly gained fame due to his excellent culinary skills.
However, few people know that his hot pot is also exceptional. Today, we visit Master Yang and ask him to personally demonstrate his unique hot pot secrets. He created the "Five Oil Hot Pot," which includes chicken oil, beef tallow, lard, and clear oil, along with a secret braising oil that makes his hot pot a one-of-a-kind experience in Chengdu.
Venue Introduction
Our experience takes place in Master Yang's own restaurant, located in a traditional old-style community in Chengdu. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of local life, with mostly neighborhood residents coming and going. In addition to his popular Chengdu-style Zajiang noodles, Master Yang's hot pot is also a must-try.
