What to expect
Host introduction Hello everyone, I am the host of Beijing, Wuyunxuan. I have been influenced by Beijing’s traditional culture since I was a child, and I love poetry, calligraphy, and Chinese painting. Among them, I have a special liking for Chinese painting, especially flower and bird painting. I have been taught by Xu Zhan, Liu Cunhui, and Guo Shifu, and have been practicing for decades, learning from nature and gaining inspiration from the heart. His works are widely praised in the field of freehand flower and bird painting, and are collected by buyers from many countries such as the United States, Britain, France, Germany, and Russia. Now I have my own studio, Wuyunxuan, at the Donghuamen of the Forbidden City in Beijing, dedicated to the exchange and inheritance of Chinese and foreign cultures.
Experience introduction There is a folk song in the old Beijing city, the fan has wind, hold it in your hand, someone wants to borrow it, wait until the beginning of winter. In the hot summer, draw a small landscape or write a few words on the fan, and use the fan to shake a cool breeze, and you will feel that your troubles are gone. The brush and ink will dilute some of the trivialities in life, and the calligraphy and painting will add some strength. It can be said to be a cool friend, and even more a good friend. Take some time out of your busy schedule and come to my studio. I will share with you the traditional skills of old Beijing-painting fan leaves, and then you can paint a fan by yourself, drink a cup of fragrant tea, and be calm and relaxed. Time stays here, whether it is slow or fast, just keep your mind.
Venue introduction The venue is outside the Donghua Gate of the Forbidden City, with convenient transportation. There are antique furniture on display in the studio, and the atmosphere of calligraphy and painting is full.
Experience process Start at 14:00 in the afternoon (other times can be negotiated); I will first introduce to you the origin of the traditional skill of painting fan leaves and calligraphy and painting works; Then I will show you how to paint on the fan; Next, you can complete a fan by yourself under guidance.
