  • Sumo is a popular Japanese martial art with a long history and tradition dating back to ancient times
  • In this experience, you can watch sumo wrestlers practicing seriously and enjoy taking photos with them!
  • During a match, you will be able to watch from a distance, but you can have a valuable experience of seeing the powerful wrestlers up close during training, which is unique

What to expect

You can have a valuable experience of observing the rigorous training of powerful sumo wrestlers up close, something you don't usually get to see. (Since it's outdoors, you can sit on a chair and take a leisurely look around.) While you cannot take photos during the sumo practice, you can take a memorial photo with the sumo wrestlers after the practice session. The experience ends in the morning, so it is recommended that you take your time to explore Nagoya in the afternoon!

This is a rare chance to closely observe the morning training of the prestigious "Takasago Beya," which has produced six Yokozuna
