Reviews
you travel there, at least must visit right ? tickets so cheap, get from klook is the fastest. it is a must go
it was cancelled by the tour operator but my toledo and segovia tour, avila was added. enjoyed it and tour guide luis was very informative and helpful
Both ancient cities are beautiful, the time is well controlled, the tour guide is very nice, the meeting point is easy to find, and the tour guide and free time are well allocated. We also had Avila’s famous desserts and it was a great experience overall.
A historical journey full of culture and monuments. The Salamanca Frog, the walls of Ávila.
Great way to have a brief overview of the two cities, and the guide is very knowledgeable! Appreciated the additional legends / facts associated with these cities. Only negative part of this tour is that there is no break for lunch.. Be sure to pack something to munch along the way.
Two days ago, I booked this trip through Klook in Madrid and visited the two beautiful ancient cities of Avila and Salamanca. The tour guide spoke in Spanish and English, but the trip was too long because of the long drive and not enough time to visit. Avila, a small town that retains its medieval style, is completely different from the capital Madrid. I visited the 2,500-meter-long ancient city wall here and admired the Cathedral of Avila. It's a pity that we were not able to go up to the top of the city wall to enjoy the scenery because of our busy schedule. Another attraction is Salamanca. After seeing the Casa de la Concha with its entire wall decorated with shells, many people sang and performed outside the door, and even found the frog relief hidden on the building of the University of Salamanca. So everyone sells frog souvenirs 😂
Best deal I have gotten from Klook, it was single day promo so I got it at about 50% discount, it was a fantastic day to visit 2 world UNESCO site in a day, not possible if you don’t have own transport so I’m glad that I managed to book through Klook
Salamanca is beautiful. Avila does not has much to see. The meet up point is on a small bus road next to the metro station exit. The tour is very punctual and tour guide is friendly. Though I could not have a proper lunch in Salamanca because the restaurants opened for lunch after 1:30pm and we had to meet up at 2pm. Overall is good. Tour size is around 15people and we use a small coach to travel, still, it is quite a comfortable ride.
It's very beautiful and worth going. The location for gathering and return is convenient. The lunch time is short. The tour guide's explanation is good.
Our tour guide is Ignacio Garcia. He rushed through the history and backgrounds. He spoke super fast, and spent nearly three times the time speaking in Spanish compared to English, which clearly shows he’s not translating all the knowledge to English.
