Activity Highlights:
Whether you want to create a textured gift for a friend or yourself, or simply want to enjoy a relaxed day of metalworking, you are welcome to sign up! You can add personal touches to each workshop, such as purchasing pearls or gemstones. If you have a specific design you'd like to create, you can also consult with the instructor and try adding your personal style to create a unique piece of jewelry.
The instructor has 10 years of experience in art and metalworking and will provide guidance based on the student's chosen design. The instructor will also help take photos to document your creation process, allowing students to focus on making their pieces while also capturing Instagram-worthy moments. All workshops are small group classes, with a maximum of 5 people per session, making it easy for students to ask questions and create their desired pieces. The studio is conveniently located about a 5- to 7-minute walk from Kwun Tong Station Exit B.
Workshop Flow:
After arriving at the studio, students can put on an apron and take a look at the finished samples and past student creations. The instructor will communicate with students to understand the effect they hope to achieve. At the beginning of the workshop, the instructor will gradually demonstrate and guide students in using various tools. Students will learn various traditional metalworking techniques, such as annealing, sawing, hammering, filing, and doming, and can fully experience the daily life of an artisan! After completing the piece, it will come with a basic packaging box or velvet bag, a care instruction card, and a polishing cloth. The instructor will also teach tips on how to care for silver jewelry and the piece itself. After the tiring class, students can also enjoy the drinks we provide to replenish their energy.
