Reviews
visited late Nov, very heavy snow that day. drive was comfortable. Had to wait 2 hrs in the snow for the 8am slot. was very crowed. driver told us to take a train back at our own expense coz she had to wait to bring back other guest. She dropped us at the krakow train station. Trip was definitely still worth it.
It was great that the meeting point was easy to find. The gathering place was also easy to understand. It was very valuable to visit such an important historical site for learning about ancient history. The guide was also very clear and easy to follow.
It was a convenient bus ride and a helpful guide for the course from Krakow to Ashwitz and Birkenau. The tour takes over 7 hours, so please note that this tour is worth it. It is recommended to book in advance. Thanks to Discover Tours.
It was a great journey to have a real life view of of trauma mankind went through, Trip was convenient, bus coordinator with sweet, the bus left on time from assigned location. Though they changed the pick up time twice. The entry to Aushwitz museum was seamless and the guide shared important information and took us around the place telling all details. It was overall a very good experience.
It was overall a shocking experience but I think it's totally worth a visit. We started quite early at 8am so I felt quite tired during the whole experience. You can order a lunch box with the agent if you want. The guide was knowledgeable but she spoke quite fast with an accent. I'd recommend to people who like history and want to see it for themselves, however horrifying experience it was.
well organized tour. meeting spot is easy to find. The tour left on time in a comfortable bus. Tour leader John Graff was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The tour guide is very serious. He will check the number of people before departure and answer questions seriously. This 7-hour trip is much more cost-effective than going by yourself. It is worth it~~~ However, this concentration camp is really one of the most tragic histories of mankind. , you will feel quite heavy after visiting!
An unforgettable tour to learn the dark history and reflect on humanity. A must visit for everyone. The guide is educated and he explained well.
an unforgettable journey which vividly showed the history of how Jews were treated during the Second World War. the guide explained the details and history in a structured manner. a very educational experience which reminds us not to allow such incidents to recur.
I had a reservation for 8 AM, but the day before, I was suddenly told it had been changed to 6 AM. Despite booking a plan with tickets included, I was made to wait in the cold ticket purchase line on the day. Then, the coordinator bought tickets for an hour later, and I waited at the restaurant for an hour. Regarding transportation, being driven from Krakow to Auschwitz in a van was extremely comfortable (and there was enough space in the trunk for large suitcases). As for the tour itself, the explanation was provided by an Auschwitz staff member, not the coordinator. There are no food or drinks available inside the facility, so you need to buy them in advance at the restaurant or vending machines near the entrance/exit. As a crucial piece of history, it was a very worthwhile place to visit. Ultimately, I'm glad I booked this tour.
