Hanbok Rental at Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul

If we could give them 10 stars we would! Follow the signs for the artist hanbok on the 3rd floor. I was worried about finding a Hanbok in my size as I am 5'10" (178 cm) but they clearly had the largest store in town and I found one that fit perfectly. They were high quality and steamed. They point you to your size section and you select the top and bottom you like. We did the hair and makeup with 3 hairstyles to choose from, and loved the results! My makeup artist did the mannequin under eye makeup which I felt aged my western features but she fixed it for me. There's lockers and you can keep your clothes on or take them off under the hanbok, very grateful I didn't wear mine it was hot. Our photographer 奈良 was incredible, efficient, professional, and spoke mandarin with my friend who translated for me but even without that I understood his gestures and posing instructions easily. Our photos are wonderful, we're so happy he captured our friendship and individual poses so beautifully.

It was a great experience! At first, we had some difficulty finding the place—maybe they could specify the location a bit better, as I went to the coffee shop and had to look around. It took me a little time to find the spot. It was extremely packed, but even with the crowd, they were very helpful and friendly. Definitely something you should try!

its very highly recommended but for place very hard to found maybe just because first time we all around the street and after that ask someone and we found it but everything its good and cheaper if you buy with klook

Best experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful. They helped us pick the hanbok, get it on and do our hair. I had braids so I couldn’t get it styled but they suggested accessorizing my hair and it came out perfectly!

I saw many other customers in the store who had already done their makeup before arriving, but the Hanbok they chose on the spot didn't suit their pre-done makeup, which was a pity. This Artist Hanbok is really not far from Gyeongbokgung Palace by walking. I invite everyone to come and participate in the experience! Because they need to emphasize the shape of the back of the head, they will mostly tease the inner layers of the hair to make it fluffy. If you don't like this, please tell your service staff in advance. The day I experienced wearing Hanbok, the outdoor temperature was -8 degrees Celsius. Even though I wore the white fur shawl provided by the store, it was still extremely cold! It is really necessary to stick heat packs inside the Hanbok. Also, because I wore a fur shawl, the lace pattern on the top was not very clear in the photos. If you have trouble making choices, research in advance the types of Hanbok patterns you might want to try, so you won't spend too much time when choosing on the spot. Use the Live Photo function on your iPhone to take beautiful Hanbok turning photos, skirt swirling photos, and glancing photos. Everyone can try it! Next time, I want to try taking those photos where I pretend to run and make the skirt flutter.

We booked this rental because it's nearer to Gyeongbokgung Palace. You can walk from the rental shop to the palace. It's also near the stations in case you want to go somewhere with the hanbok. The most of the staff were friendly, and they can accommodate a lot of tourists. The dresses are all nice despite getting the regular ones.

Wide variety of hanbok to choose from! You may choose to use the bag provided along w a head accessory. Owner was very understanding when we requested a change of schedule due to flight delay. 2 hours but wore it for only an hour as the weather in seoul this september was scorching 🥵🥵
