Reviews
The group tour I joined in mid-October was well-managed. The coach was new and the seats were comfortable. There were two tour guides: one provided commentary in English and German, and the other in Spanish and French. This ensured that every tourist could properly understand the historical background and related information about the cities we were about to visit. The lunch environment was pleasant. The restaurant was located on a hillside and offered a complimentary small glass of welcome drink. The meal included hot soup, a main course, and dessert. If you want to visit the three towns in the Danube Bend and don't have a car, I recommend joining this kind of tour. It's very convenient, the tour guides are quite responsible, they provide free time and clear meeting times, and the other tour members were great. It was a pleasant trip.
We signed up for a group day trip to the three Danube Bend towns. Our guide was a local Hungarian who spoke English and Spanish, and his explanations were very clear. The driver drove smoothly, and the tour bus had good air conditioning, making it easy to nap. We met at 9 AM at the travel agency office near the Danube (in the same building as the InterContinental Hotel). Most of the participants were Westerners, and everyone was very considerate; people kept their voices down on the bus, and everyone was incredibly punctual for meet-ups, leading to a smooth and pleasant day! We were able to visit three small towns, and the timing was quite sufficient; the itinerary didn't feel rushed, and there was plenty of time for photos, shopping, and meals. Lunch was included; it wasn't gourmet, but the view from the restaurant was lovely, and it was great chatting with people from other countries in our group!
It is quite convenient to visit the three small towns by car. In fact, each place is not too far away and can be reached in about an hour. It is much more convenient to have a car to pick up and drop off. After our tour guide got on the bus, he started to introduce the scenic spots and scenery along the way from Chain Bridge to Margaret Bridge. When the group members asked questions or chatted, the tour guide would join in the chat, which felt very cordial. The key point is that the English accent is not very strong. Even though my English is not good during the whole tour, I can grasp about 60% of the meaning (laughs). It's a pity that Ostergon is undergoing renovations, and I heard it will take a long time. In addition, I didn’t go up to the fortress in Visegrad, thinking I could walk around and take pictures, but it turned out that I could only watch it from a distance, which was a pity. It would be nice to go for a walk if there is a chance for good weather.
The tour guide was a lady who seemed to be over 70 years old. She explained things in detail and was very polite. The attractions visited were beautiful. The lunch was average. The boat ride back offered beautiful views of both sides of the river. Overall, a good experience and worth participating in.
Highly recommend this tour. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and you can see the idyllic landscapes of Hungary and Slovakia. Lunch is a delicious homemade Hungarian meal, and the tour guide, Yolanda, is very friendly.
It was a relaxing day tour to three nice places on a coach. Our guide Margaret was friendly and informative. The lunch included was also delicious.
It was a great travel experience. The tour guide was very professional. He never stopped talking about it from the time he got in the car to the time he got on the boat. He gave a comprehensive introduction to the humanities, history, customs and scenery of Hungary and Slovakia. The itinerary was also very comfortable. We crossed the bridge to Slovakia and also Visited three small towns on the Danube River in Hungary, the best value for money! Lunch is also included at noon. The scenery in the restaurant is simply amazing, but to be honest, the taste of the food is average. Overall, I still give it a good review. I highly recommend it to friends traveling to Budapest!
The tour guide was very professional, explaining the sights to us in three languages throughout the trip. On the way there, we drove past lavender fields, and on the way back, we saw the Parliament Building from a boat on the Danube River. It was a very good experience.
Tour guide She is very professional and her explanations are also very detailed. She treats every member of the group carefully and patiently. The itinerary is arranged in a tight schedule and it is a very fulfilling tour!
Thank you to the tour guide for the detailed explanation of each attraction! It's a shame that the church was under renovation, so we couldn't see the whole thing. Highly recommend this itinerary where you don't have to find your own way!
