Reviews
The Circle Line Harbor Lights Cruise is widely regarded as one of the best sightseeing experiences in New York City because of its impeccable timing: departing at dusk, it lets you watch the Manhattan skyline transform from a warm golden hour into a sparkling sea of illuminated skyscrapers. Over two relaxed hours, the boat glides down the Hudson, passes within close range of an illuminated Statue of Liberty for prime photo stops, and cruises under the lit-up Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges, all accompanied by engaging, knowledgeable live commentary from local guides. While popular sailings can feel crowded—making it smart to arrive 45 minutes early to grab an outdoor seat on the starboard (right) side—the stunning panoramic views and climate-controlled lower decks make it well worth the ticket for both first-timers and return visitors.
We took the New York Harbor Circle Line Cruise around sunset, and it was absolutely beautiful. Watching the sun set behind the skyline and then seeing the city light up at night was a magical experience. The views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and lower Manhattan were stunning. The timing was perfect for capturing both golden hour and night views. A must-do if you're looking for a scenic and relaxing way to see the city from the water!
Another must-do activity when visiting New York City is a sightseeing cruise. You will be able to see all the famous landmarks such as the Empire State, Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower, Brooklyn Bridge and many more.
THIS IS WORTH MY MONEY!!!! My family, including my 85-yr old father really had a great 2+ hours on the cruise ❤️ I bought this last minute while trying to search what to do on our first night at the city and I feel really glad I tried this. Port was easy to find. Our tour guide, David (I hope I remembered the name right), made the tour an informative one. I commend him for generously and "tirelessly" sharing his time. He spoke for almost 2 hours explaining the history or what is it for of the buildings/ infrastructure that we are seeing. Though we experienced some rainshowers when the tour was starting, it was still not a problem... We went May 27 and the weather was perfect! Not too hot or not too cold. Lastly, I appreciate the tour extended a bit for us to experience Manhattan skyline at night. It also stopped in front of Lady Liberty to have our photos taken ❤️
We thoroughly enjoyed the course starting at 7:00 PM. The course was fully booked, so arriving early was definitely the right decision. From 7:00 PM, you can enjoy Manhattan as its appearance changes around sunset. Seeing Manhattan from the river, and then watching its transformation before and after sunset, is an incredibly valuable experience.
You can get a close view of the Statue of Liberty, the Hudson River and the East River at dusk, and see Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Note that it will be dark in the summer, and only the last section of the journey will have lights on in downtown and midtown. Even in the summer, it will be very windy and cold on the river. It is recommended to board the boat more than an hour early to reserve a seat, so that passengers on both sides can take pictures of the Statue of Liberty.
Really nice tour. The tour guide was fun and informative. There are bars inside the boat where you can get snacks. Perfect activity if you wanna see the New York skyline.
Our cruise from New York City was an amazing experience. The views of the skyline and the Statue of Liberty while departing were beautiful. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and the entertainment was enjoyable. I would definitely cruise again.
The boat can accommodate many people, with indoor and outdoor seating on both the first and second floors, and the deck is also open. It's recommended to arrive an hour early to queue up so you can snag an outdoor, edge-side seat. The 7:00 PM tour coincides perfectly with sunset in the summer, allowing you to capture some great shots. While it's a bit difficult to get a photo with the Statue of Liberty, you can still take beautiful landscape photos. The boat turns to both sides, so you don't need to worry about which side you sit on. Along the way, the tour guide provides commentary on the sights in English. There are also restrooms and a vending area on the first floor where you can purchase food and drinks. Overall, it's a great experience!
it was a very easy to book! you need to arrive 15 min in advance to get a better seat! it was very cold in march! but they provide the indoor seating with heater.
