- The Wu Deng-益 Art Museum was founded at the Taiwan landmark - Taipei 101.
- In 2023, a new museum was opened in the Tamsui Historical Museum area of New Taipei City, renovating and revitalizing the historical buildings and courtyards that were built successively from 1875.
- The lifelong artistic accomplishments and achievements of the famous Taiwanese color ink art master, Wu Deng-益, will continue to be written into this century-old building.
- With an open attitude that blends East and West, we aim to create an international art and culture platform for the exchange of Taiwan's local art with the world, and to promote the charm and value of contemporary color ink art.
What to expect
Wudengyi Art Museum: This building was constructed in 1875 and personally supervised and designed by Dr. Mackay. It was originally used as a missionary dormitory and is known as "Mackay's Little White House" due to its white appearance.
Narrow Gate: For thousands of years, the spirit of missionaries has been to "walk through the narrow gate." The narrow gate has standards, principles, and limitations. That gate is not only narrow, but also difficult to see.
Escalator: "Ascending ninety thousand miles," spiraling upwards to the "Observation Deck" on the top floor of the main building of the museum.
Oxford Window: A small square window composed of four green stained-glass window panels, originating from the "Oxford College," founded by Dr. Mackay, now the balcony window panels on the second floor of "Aletheia University."
Bai Ri Ge: A Japanese-style building added during the Japanese colonial period. Its exterior is entirely white and it is the highest point in the park besides the sea-viewing platform. The unique scenery of the park can be seen through the windows on all
Art Tree Academy: For over a century, the old camphor tree has flourished with lush foliage and a beautiful shape, its shade covering almost half the courtyard. One cannot help but marvel at the wonders of nature.
Ocean View Platform: The famous "Guanyin Sunset," one of the "Eight Views of Tamsui," unfolds before you, offering an expansive view of Mount Guanyin and the Tamsui River estuary.

Important Information for Visitors
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the museum, both indoors and outdoors.
- Pets are not allowed (except for guide dogs on duty).
- Skateboards, baby walkers, and bicycles are not allowed.
- Long umbrellas and objects larger than A3 size are not allowed in the exhibition halls.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the exhibition halls.

- The use of flash and tripods is prohibited for all indoor photography.
Photography Groups:
- Maximum of 4 people
- Amplification equipment is prohibited.
- Please be mindful of the flow of traffic to avoid disturbing other visitors.
Indoor Photography Precautions
- General photography for personal, non-commercial use is permitted.
- Video recording, the use of flash, tripods, selfie sticks, or other auxiliary equipment is prohibited in the exhibition halls without prior application. Unapproved live streaming is also not allowed.
- Artistic photos, Cosplay, photography tutorials, or other photography that affects safety and the viewing rights of others are not allowed in the museum.
Outdoor Photography Precautions
- Prior application is required for "non-commercial" outdoor special photography.
- Outdoor photography requiring application: Wedding photography, Cosplay photography, model photography, photography clubs, group activities, and others.
- Please follow the on-site regulations. The museum reserves the right to refuse admission to those who are deemed to be disruptive to the safety of the exhibits or the order of the visit.
- The museum reserves the right to claim compensation for any damage caused to the museum's facilities, exhibits, or personnel.
