What to expect
In the morning at 5 am, our driver and tour guide will warmly welcome you, starting your journey in a private luxury car towards Bodhgaya, a trip lasting nearly 4 hours. Throughout the drive, your knowledgeable tour guide will provide insights into the local flora and fauna, village life, and Buddhist rituals, offering a comprehensive understanding of different Buddhist sects.
Upon arrival, you'll explore the remarkable Mahabodhi temple and the revered Mahabodhi tree. This awe-inspiring temple beautifully integrates architectural elements from ancient times, representing a rich cultural heritage. Once the visit concludes, you'll return to Varanasi in the same comfortable car.

We had a memorable visit to Bodhgaya and Varanasi two of most sacred places in India. We enjoyed long, yet comfortable journey with views of nature and glimpses into local life. Our guide Anmol was knowledgeable, engaging and very helpful and we also had another guide at the Mahabodhi Temple, who detailed about temple's rich history. The return journey with visit to Varanasi made our evening truly unforgettable.
We were picked up at the hotel at 5:30 AM, then headed to Bodh Gaya. On the way, we stopped at a service area for about 30 minutes for breakfast. The drive to Bodh Gaya, including the break, took about 5 hours. In Bodh Gaya, we visited the Japanese Temple, Thai Temple, the Great Buddha statue, and the Mahabodhi Temple. It was a shame we couldn't take photos at the Mahabodhi Temple because cell phones weren't allowed, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide, Ritu, explained everything very thoroughly. On the way back, we stopped at the same service area for lunch, and then the tour concluded. It was a wonderful experience.
