Similan Islands Full Day Tour by Catamaran or Speed Boat

The Similan Islands tour was a major highlight of my Phuket trip. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly well-supported and safe throughout the entire journey. The day was seamless, starting with a punctual pickup and a light breakfast. The catamaran was well-equipped with unlimited refreshments, and the onboard CCTV provided peace of mind for my belongings while I was in the water. As a nervous first-time snorkeler, I can’t thank the guide enough. He was patient and attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable enough to enjoy two separate snorkeling sessions. The itinerary was perfectly paced—I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to sunbathe and explore the stunning islands. The food was another bonus, with both a buffet lunch and a dinner provided. This tour is organized, beginner-friendly, and perfect for solo travelers. Highly recommended!

The tour was excellent, everything was very well organized. We were fed three times, and water and Pepsi were provided throughout the trip. The scenery is beautiful, very similar to the Maldives (beaches, vegetation, water, fish). Unfortunately, we didn't see any turtles, but we did see a monitor lizard twice. I highly recommend visiting.

If you’re in Phuket, this tour is a must. The Similan Islands look like Hawaii or the Seychelles — powdery white sand and unreal turquoise water. Everything was perfectly organized, from hotel pick-up to check-in and the boat trip itself. The team works incredibly hard to keep everything smooth and on time, which makes the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. We also did the James Bond Island and Maya Bay tours, but this one was the highlight. Please remember to tip the staff — they truly deserve it. Sadly, only a few people tipped on our boat, and some gave less than 50 THB for three people. Considering the effort and long day they put in, that felt unfair. A fair amount is at least 100 THB per person. Huge thanks to our amazing tour leader Lio (hope I got the name right!) and the fantastic crew on Boat #1 for an unforgettable day!

It was such a great experience! After visiting the infamous Phi Phi and other islands, we’ve decided Similan was the best. Beautiful white sand beach, not too crowded. Out of 3 snorkeling trips we’ve done with different tours, Fantastic Similan is top notch. On arrival, they gave us full kit, snorkeling mask, clean beach towel (1 for every person). You really can come unprepared to join this trip, but I recommend at least bring your own stuff like meds and sunscreen. They served us full breakfast and dinner buffet before and after the trip, coffee, snacks, cake, everything. The pier is also very nice you really can hang out there. Our tour guide, Nina or Lina, was also fun and engaging. The crew provided us with chews, snacks and drinks along the way. We did 45 mins snorkeling in 2 spots which was fulfilling. The weather was nice, water’s clear, lunch was also great. Similan trip is a must-do when visiting Thailand, but choose speed catamaran for easier ride on the ocean.

Excellent service by the Once Phuket Yacht Company. The trip to Similan Islands was very well organized and managed by the guides. They were very helpful throughout the tour. The food was also nice, and plenty of refreshments were available throughout the day. The guides especially made efforts to make us see the turtles swimming inside the ocean. It was a very wonderful experience for all of us.

It’s ideal for solo travelers, couples, or even families. I left the day with great memories, beautiful photos, and a better understanding of the local culture. Today’s Similan Islands tour was truly unforgettable. The weather was perfect, the Yellow Team crew was amazing, and the fellow travelers were all kind and wonderful. The view from Island No. 8, Sail Rock, was like a painting — the emerald sea stretched endlessly, and the soft, white sand sparkled under the sun. Both snorkeling spots were incredibly clear, teeming with marine life. At the second spot, we even saw Dory (Nemo’s friend!) and a moray eel — such a thrill! Lunch was delicious and plentiful — we were encouraged to eat until full. Relaxing under the shade of the trees in No.4 Mu Koh, lying back and listening to the upside-down bats chirping above, added such a unique touch to the experience. Even the boat ride was smooth and pleasant, thanks to the calm sea. Everyone on board was orderly and considerate, which made the trip even more enjoyable. It was very good, but you had to get some sea tablets beforehand because I personally felt a bit sick. The crew was very nice and gave me some ointment, and after that, I really felt better. It's also too warm, so definitely wear a long-sleeved top. The food was okay, and drinks were distributed quite frequently on board.

it was a good outing - we had two spots of 50 min snorkeling as an island we were meant to stop at was closed. Snorkeling at the first stop was good but the 2nd stop water wasn’t as clear. Great fasciities and well organised. Lots of food throughout the day.
