Extremely well designed property.. probably the most comfortable one of our stay in Italy. Burano is bustling in the day and peaceful at night.

Great First the good - of which there is plenty. We had one of the junior suites. Super comfortable bed, amazing steam shower, great wifi.
It's a short but pleasant walk across the bridge to Mazzorbo for breakfast at Venissa. If you choose not to include breakfast, there are numerous cafes and bars on Burano itself - but these are mainly open just in the daytime.
It's lovely to be in Burano at night when all the crowds have gone. However, if you are fond of a buzz or nightlife, this would not be a great choice. Also it's slim pickings for food in the evenings (unless you are eating at Venissa, which I think for many is the whole point of staying here).
OK, all fab...except...the soundproofing. If your fellow Casa Burano residents are in the same time zone as you, then all is good. But if you are early birds and they are night owls, better get some earplugs. Or shove over in bed. Because it can sound like they are literally in the same room as you. Next time I would go for an upstairs room to eliminate the overhead footsteps, or the scraaaaaping of the chairs....A simple fix with some thick rugs on the wooden floors might help.

Given that the island is a bit off of the beaten path and hard to get to, for the average traveler, the representative that we had from Casa Burano, Leonardo, was extremely accommodating and helpful and communicated often and effectively. The house itself is beautiful, up-to-date amenities and very clean modern but with rustic touches. Would absolutely recommend 5/5. I’ve never seen a sky so blue!!

It is frustrating that the actual accomodation is cloaked in secrecy, in spite of specific enquiries, until arrival. So it’s basically lucky dip.
We were allocated 1 of 3 rooms in a renovated property. I think it was called Casa della Merlettaia.
Whilst the bedroom and bathroom were lovely, access to our room was up a very steep, narrow flight of stairs. We found it tedious to manoeuvre our heavy cases up and down. No effort was made to ascertain our mobility and I didn’t think to say.
A bottle of water and some local biscuits were provided on arrival and that’s it.
A coffee machine was available in the communal kitchen with pods strictly doled out daily: 1 per person!
No facilities in room apart from an empty fridge.
No breakfast baskets.
I felt we were paying hotel prices without the amenities of a hotel.
Burano is lovely but very geared towards the daytime tourists. Plan your trip carefully to ensure you have some supper options!
We purchased a pass and used the vaporettos to visit surrounding islands: very easy and fun.

We contacted Casa Burano twice as requested but didn’t have a response. Eventually we tracked down and tried a difficult email address and got in touch, however, we were expecting Casa Burano to get in touch with us as arranged through Hotels.com. Passport details provided but seemingly not received by our hosts so had to be provided again. Collected from the vaparetto and shown to our room which was lovely. Breakfast was fine but again not much information about what was provided. We arrived for breakfast and nobody was there to explain the breakfast procedure however breakfast was nice. It was a special trip as it was my birthday so a little disappointed that the administration was a little lacking.
