Great
The hotel and everything inside it were great. The location was terrible. We did not feel safe walking around even during the day, and would not even try at night. It's too bad because the hotel and our experience with the staff were great. But outside is a different story; dirty and lots of unhoused people walking about.

Great
We used underground parking but thought it was overpriced. Also- very tight squeeze for our dodge ram. We had just enough clearance and was difficult to park. Our room was great- very clean, very comfy bed. The walk in shower was nice too. We were not overly impressed with our breakfast that we ordered off the menu. Next time we would opt for the buffet. Our server was friendly though!

Good
Check in was ridiculous. 2 hotels with. I signage, so many of us waited in line to be told we were at the wrong check in area and had to wait in another long line. Check in took almost 45 minutes. A sign would be wonderful.

The Hotel is very nicely situated downtown with access to the train, public parking and the Stampede grounds. It is very close to the homeless shelter so you have to be very careful at all times. The police are very diligent about Security and the Hotel also hires private Security. We have stayed here a few times because the rooms are clean, modern, and the staff are excellent.

We liked the double shower heads in the bathtub. The decor was updated and the whole place was decently clean except for the couches in the lounge in the lobby. What we found that detracted from the trip was the staggering amount of homeless and drug addicted people that lingered outside. We didn’t realize that the Calgary Dropin Centre was a couple blocks away. We walked downtown to eat and when we came back around 10 pm there were large groups of homeless people (30-40) camping out right around our building; some were urinating and we witnessed others sharing a crack pipe or heating up drugs in containers. It was shocking because we were so close to the beautiful new public library. Calgary needs to do something to clean up that area that it has invested so much money into. Hard to find a solution but we definitely won’t stay at this hotel again because of that problem.

Location is good. Extra parking across the street. The gym was decent with good and clean equipments. Pool is more for a quick dip. Hot tub is good. Could do a good cleaning to the pool and hot tub though. Room is spacious.
