The hotel was very central and had an excellent breakfast and also tea/coffee station in the lobby. The rooms were a little bit dated and the bathroom could have been better but okay for a few nights.

Fantastic

Solo stay

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. The rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. They also have an in room safe to store your valuables. The staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. There is also a communal coffee machine in the entrance for you to help yourself to. Highly recommended.

Stayed with family

We booked this hotel for my elderly mom during the July 2026 heat wave because it had air conditioning. What a relief that she was able to stay so cool during the hottest summer days in her room at the Hotel de la Paix. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Solo stay

The room was clean, and the staff were kind. The location was convenient and safe. The one downside was that there were few lights in the room so it was pretty dark at night.

The hotel is in a central location on the same block as bus transportation. The hotel also provided a Luzern visitor card, which included free local public transportation. Breakfast provided a good start for the day. The room was clean. It was also quiet at night, even though we had a balcony looking out onto the street. The street was busy during the day but became quiet at night.

The room was clean, and the breakfast was good. However, I had a few issues with my stay. There was essentially no hot water in the morning, so my first shower was completely cold. The room also didn’t have enough power outlets, which made charging devices inconvenient. Only two towels were provided, and we had to request additional ones. The front desk employee who checked us in was not very friendly or welcoming. Overall, the room itself was fine, but these issues took away from the experience.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel has a reasonable breakfast offering which was included with our stay. The room was fine, but some of the lobby areas of the hotel could do with an update. However, this is a fantastic location for exploring Lucerne and we had a beautiful view from our room.
