Nice hotel in a great location ! Breakfast was excellent.

This has to be the best hotel in this area. Istanbul is intense (that's part of the experience!), but Sura Hagia Sophia is an excellent escape from that. It feels fabulous to arrive back there at the end of a busy day. The courtyard and pool area is well maintained and genuinely peaceful. Everything about the hotel was perfect for us (a family of 4, needing 2 rooms). We would definitely stay again. One minor uncertainty (not to detract from the excellent hotel, just a comment ): when booking through Expedia, the hotel sent us a welcome message which asked whether we needed a transfer from the airport to the hotel. I replied "Yes - please book it", but I did not receive any concrete confirmation. I sent a further message and was told "Our transport team will contact you", but I didn't hear back before we travelled. This was ultimately not a problem: there are (of course) many public taxis waiting outside SAW airport and we just got in one! The price was about the same as the transfer offered by the hotel (ca 80 euro - about 1 hour journey). Once you get to the hotel, it becomes clear there is a separate team who arrange these things. That team was also very good and helpful - they arranged our transfer back - but for us there was just that minor glitch in communication which left us a bit uncertain on the outward trip. I recommend to ask the hotel for the specific contact details of the travel team - they communicated using Whatsapp.

This hotel is boutique - it welcomes and attracts large numbers of Istanbul visitors yet still gives every traveller a boutique experience. Bonus offers include well staffed welcoming reception, huge numbers of welcoming porters, welcoming support desk and efficient booking desk for transfer transport. Helpful free transport from airport taxi to hotel (pedestrianised Sultanahmet area) takes two minutes. This hotel is perfectly located in traffic free streets to walk to all the most interesting historical sites of Sultanahmet Istanbul. A stay in a museum in a museum. Many congratulations to Sura hotels for the best of management. Thank you to so many staff for very many kindnesses. PS lovely pool. Best wishes Neslihan and David

I booked this hotel because I was expecting a relaxing spa experience. While the hotel does have a spa, when I visited it felt extremely busy and more like a public facility rather than a peaceful hotel amenity. For the price, I honestly don’t feel it offers anything better than many hotels without a spa. It feels like you are paying extra for something that you could likely find elsewhere at a much lower cost. I did not end up using the spa because of this, and overall I found the hotel to be overpriced for what it offers. Rooms are nothing special the whole hotel is just ok. I spent over 1000$ fir 6 days, definitely not worth it. The staff was pleasant, but I did not feel they went the extra mile to make the experience special, which is something I have experienced at many smaller hotels. One example was when I paid 600 lira to have three postcards mailed. It has now been a month and a half, and they still have not arrived. I have no way of knowing what happened, but it was very disappointing and made me question the level of service. I would not recommend this hotel unless the price was under $100 per night. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again. Every stay is a learning experience, and this one helped me understand what I value more when choosing a hotel.

Great hotel if you want to be close to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Palace, Grand Bazaar, etc. Difficult to drive to by car, but once you arrive, valet will take care of your vehicle for you . A/C was great. Walking distance to everything. Would highly recommend.

Great hotel, fantastic location. Comfy bed and very quiet room. Excellent welcome, lots of info about the local area provided.

Nicely centrally located proper tilt, very clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. They assisted us in coordinating some tours and their breakfast and dinner was good.
