I was under the impression this was a hotel. It is not, the desk is not manned except for a few hours a day. You have to notify the staff of the time of your arrival and then have a code to get in the giant wooden front door. There is an elevator that will fit only 2 people with small luggage and it lets you off where you still have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the front door of the property. It's like one section of a floor in a large building. They still charged me 44 euros at check in for "city taxes" even though I thought I'd paid everything with Expedia. They give you one key card for the room (of 4 ppl) even though I requested 2 so my older sons could go explore on their own. The key card controls the light/electricity in the room and when you remove it, the electricity goes out. So when one of my sons didn't want to go to dinner, we had to take the key card, and he was left in the dark with no way to keep the lights on. This is really stupid. Our A/C didn't work the first night and so that was a very uncomfortable night in the summer with the humidity. Additionally, there is a step by the front desk that you have to go up to access the hallway to the rooms (seems like there's maybe only 6 or 8 rooms), but you would not expect to have to go up a step in a hotel to get where you're going, so I tripped over it twice, going and coming. Other than all that, everything was clean and in good working order, but buyer beware! I would not stay here again.

The rooms are modern and immaculately clean, and the building itself is very well maintained. The surrounding area felt safe throughout our stay. The location is excellent, with the train station, ferry terminal, and many of the main attractions all within easy walking distance. Travellers should be aware that this is a room-only property rather than a traditional hotel. Although the room is referred to as a suite, it is in fact one room. While there are shared kitchen facilities next to the room, they are not available for guest use. Staff are available during the day, but if any issues arise in the evening, they will not be addressed until the following day. One thing to keep in mind is that breakfast doesn’t begin until 8:00 a.m., so if you have an early tour or departure planned, you may not have time to take advantage of it.

Great

The room itself was beautiful and cleaned, but the building entrance in order to get to the room was complicated- Elevator is tiny. One of the days the building lost power, so we had to wait outside until someone could come to open the main entrance. I have 2 little kids, so it was a scary moment, but other than that, once in the room, everything was fine.

There's a bit of a problem with breakfast—if you arrive late, there's basically nothing left on the menu. They could improve the selection and also offer hot scrambled eggs instead of cold ones.

The room was fantastic for a family of four. There was plenty of space for all of us and our luggage. The beds were sufficiently comfortable. There are no extras here though. No free water bottles in the room, for instance. Just an empty mini-fridge and a small coffee station. You provide your own water. The check-in process is easy, but there is not a 24 hour reception so you will have to coordinate closely so that someone will be there when you arrive (no matter what hour you arrive, day or night). Since reception is not always available, be prepared to not be able to ask questions or have requests fulfilled. The breakfast area is really small and the food is not that great. You will be pleased with your stay, however, if all you care about is having a nice spacious room.
