It was an easy and fulfilling day! ✨ The itinerary was well-planned, and every attraction had restrooms, making it suitable for children and seniors ☺️. Besides the beautiful scenery, there were many restaurant choices 🤤. Our tour guide, Xiao Guo, explained the unique features of each attraction and took photos for us at the sites, giving us a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this one-day tour! ✨✨✨

Great 4.0
Small group tour, flexible arrangement. Driver contact one day in advance to confirm pick up time and location! They were even nice enough to pick us up from hotel which was 10 mins walk away from gathering point.

Fantastic 5.0
The itinerary for the Nagoya Full-Day Ise Grand Shrine & Toba Aquarium Tour with Meoto Iwa was well-organized and enjoyable. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily during our trip, so we decided to head back earlier than scheduled. I originally planned to visit the Pearl Museum, but due to the unpredictable weather, I chose the aquarium instead. Despite the change in plans, I had a great time watching the playful sea creatures and marine shows at the aquarium. Overall, it was still a memorable experience, and I would recommend this tour, especially for those who enjoy nature, culture, and marine life.

Great 4.0
A few days later, we met tour guide Xiao Yu again. She was just as meticulous in her explanations and took great care of everyone. Although Ise isn't particularly popular with foreigners right now, if you like Japanese shrines and are interested in Japanese religious customs, the Ise Grand Shrine tour would be an excellent choice. We were also very lucky this time to witness the Meoto Iwa rope-changing ceremony, which only happens three times a year. It was a very cool experience.

Fantastic 5.0
Santos made our tour an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, he was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared fascinating insights about the area, answered all our questions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included throughout the day. His enthusiasm and attention to detail really stood out. The tour was well-organised, relaxed, and full of memorable moments, thanks in large part to Santos’s warm personality and expertise. He went above and beyond to make the experience special. And to top it off. He got every group a gift of matcha cookies that he didn’t have to do! such an amazing gesture.

Fantastic 5.0
After seeing this new itinerary on the platform, I immediately gathered my friends and we set off! Our tour guide, Xiao Xie, provided thoughtful and meticulous service. When a sudden downpour caught us off guard at noon, we immediately received a message from Xiao Xie saying he was getting umbrellas from the car for us! He was truly considerate. He also looked after us carefully throughout the trip. Highly recommended!

If you enjoy taking photos, you might want to choose just one location, otherwise you'll feel rushed. Alternatively, I'd suggest staying overnight. Our driver was excellent; she drove very smoothly and was extremely polite. A six-hour round trip (three hours each way) must have been tiring for her. I highly recommend visiting Shirakawa-go in both summer and winter; it's truly beautiful.

What to know before visiting Ise

Top experiences to try in Ise throughout the year

Ise’s activities are led by guided tours, followed by a smaller share of zoos and aquariums, and demand rises and falls with the seasons — bookings climb through spring and peak in May, then dip in mid-summer and autumn. That rhythm means the city feels busiest for experiences in May, while July and September are noticeably quieter.

Best picks for families, couples and solo travellers

Families will find animal-focused visits like zoos and aquariums an easy win — they’re the most budget-friendly option and suit mixed-age groups. Couples often favour the variety and storytelling of tours, which can range from gentle guided walks to more structured cultural excursions. Solo travellers and small groups will also find tours the easiest way to explore: they offer the widest spread of options and mid-range price points that suit different tastes.

What travellers from Singapore tend to book ahead

Most people from Singapore keep plans flexible — many bookings are made within a week or two of travel — but the earliest planners typically secure major activities around four weeks in advance. Booking ahead matters most for travel in May, when demand peaks and availability tightens.

How categories compare on price and who they suit

Zoos and aquariums are the easiest, lowest‑cost entry point and work well for budget-conscious families or anyone wanting a simple outing. Tours sit at the higher end of the local spectrum and offer the widest range of choices, from entry-level guided walks to more premium experiences, making them a good match for couples, cultural travellers and small groups who want tailored options.
