It was highly recommended especially even for Malaysian. An insightful tour by the friendly Joyce to the museum and factory, love every story, history and all the amazing creations. Highly encouraged to take both foundry & hard knocks workshop guided by Hafiz & Azree at once! They are excellent instructors! We had so much fun, experience and good to know more about pewter and Royal Selangor. I would definitely bring my friends here especially who wanna visit Malaysia.

Bought the package as a birthday gift for my best friend and it is worth every penny!!! We had so much fun starting from the Gallery Tour & learned many interesting facts. Our instructor of the day, Mr. Azree was really patient in teaching us during the workshops. He was very jovial, encouraging and helpful too. After the workshop, we headed to the Cafe and I gotta say, the lunch was not bad at all! Thank you to Ms. Cleeo from the Shop too for helping out with the gifts. All in all, a very memorable and splendid day well spent.

Highly recommend for tourists and locals. We came on a weekday to avoid crowds and were treated to a very informative museum tour by Joyce. She then took us around for a pewter making demo at the factory where we could experience the design process. The School of Hard Knocks was such a fun experience, guided by Azree. I now appreciate how difficult it is to even stamp my name on a slate of pewter before hammering it into a bowl shape. I would definitely come back to do the Foundry session! Was pleasantly surprised that lunch was a proper meal instead of just a sandwich which is what we normally get in those tours in Asia.

So much better than I expected !!!! Probably the least favourite part was the drive there :) but it wasnt so bad, and we were well taken care from the get go. The tour was good and we loved the reality of seeing how things are made and seeing the factory. The bowl making class was good too & the kids were the only students. There was a jazz festival on too on that day so I think they are trying to ramp up the activities to attract more people. The cafe was also very nice. Definitely a place we can recommend to tourists & friends alike.

It was a very informative & unique experience that Msian/ foreigner should try! Appreciate the driver Steven to arrange pick up and also call in advance to cfm timing, location. He is very patience even when Im the only visitor. Thank you Siew Ching for the informative Mandarin guided tour, eventho Im the only visitor for that session, she showcase a very professional and knowledgeable sharing on the history of pewter, both pre and post colonial, the past and current development of the industry. Lastly, big kudos to Azree, the workshop 's instructor, he will show you few tricks to make the pewter (with mould or freehand) and then you will be hands on and try on your own creation. It was very therapeutic session and you could bring home with your key chains. After the workshop ended, a lunch was enjoyed in their cafeteria (portion is decent, mihun was flavourful, the sambal prawn is balanced with sweetness+spiciness) This place is one of the very underrated actvt in Malaysia, the museum is educational and also include the fun element that allows you to spare ur creativity. The majority of female worker in Royal Selangor potraits their value in women empowerment. As Msia is still in lockdown stage, the place have reduce is volume of visitor, this is the right place for locals to try out such a unique experience!!
