One of the highlight of Yogyakarta stay was this night food walk! It was totally a deep local experience that I could not get without resourceful and really fun guide Angelina. Highly recommend all to take this tour to understand local food and culture. Just have the right expectation for the participation, as this is a local street food experience, so don’t expect high hygiene or quality service, but be open to the whole new world!!!
This was the clincher to my Yogyakarta trip. Miss Ratna was very accomodating and superbly nice. Probably because of the weather, I was the only one who booked the tour but she didn’t cancel it. She was very adept and fluent. I learned a lot about Jogja, the food, the culture and I made a new friend. Highly recommended when you’re in Yogyakarta.
Thankyou Nita for a fabulous evening eating and exploring the city. Nita was fun, knowledgeable and engaging. We tried a variety of foods and beverages which were unique to Indonesia. It was raining a little but but didnt detere our tour. I highly recommend this tour if you want to experience local culture and atmosphere. Nita is honest and reliable and will ensure your excursion goes well... Once again thankyou Klook and Nita for making my stay a little more special.
Will get guide contact way one day before the trip, mostly Whatsapp.
In this tiny tour, you will have three main courses, one snack and one drink, remember to prepare your belly for it.
Our guide Angelina is very professional and kindly explaining all origin and genre of street foods. After foods, she took us to “cycling” for exercise, it was an amazing experience that you need to ride a weird “car” and sweat a lot lol.
Angelina is a fantastic host. she's warm and bubbly and clearly proud to showcase local food. She introduced us to sate, odeh odeh, soto ayam, gudeg, and a ginger soup dessert. She also arranged all transport between the shops on a becak, which is surprisingly more fun than it is touristy. Good stuff.
Awesome tour with Angelina. Professional, punctual with the most sparkling personality. Responsive to texts and questions, very informative. There was never a dull moment throughout the tour. Both myself and dad got to taste the famous charcoal coffee, along with many assorted local bites. Tour on 3-wheel bike around the city was awesome, we ended the tour with LED lit bike cars, all in all a great time. We're very grateful we had Angelina showing us the way in Yogya !
