Delhi Heritage Photography Tour

5.0 2 reviews | 100+ Booked
It's a travel photographer's dream: to explore the most scenic and significant landmarks and structures of the city of Delhi, and being able to photograph the magnificent sights. You'll meet the guide at Safdarjung Tomb, the resting place of the Mughal Empire's statesman of the same name. The beautiful geometrical garden is perfect for photographs, as well as the ornate facade. Then it's off to another tomb, the Muhammad Shah Sayyid Mausoleum, where the ruler of the same name rests. Numerous incredible relics from the Sayyid dynasty can be found here, and the unique shape of the mausoleum makes for breathtaking photographs, set in the backdrop of the horizon. In the Lodhi Gardens, around the tomb, the sprawling, manicured grounds give you a great opportunity for landscape photos. In the garden is Athpula Bridge, with its eight pillared arches. You'll also be able to take photographs here, with the reflection of the arched bridge appearing on the peaceful waters below. Then you'll get the opportunity to do some street photography. You'll head to the old buildings of the city, getting splendid shots of the old ancient lanes, and also get the opportunity to photograph the facades of the various embassies. Then you'll visit the Shish Gumbad, another tomb and this time from the Lodhi Dynasty. It's particularly photogenic for its beautiful glass dome houses where an unknown family is entombed. Some particularly breathtaking photographs are up next as you head to the National Rose Garden of Delhi. A famed tourist attraction, this beautiful rose garden features fields of blooming roses in a multitude of varieties, of all colors, and even striped ones. The grounds are covered with rose bushes, and even picturesque archways laced in rose vines. You can take the most romantic photographs here before heading to the Sikandar Lodi Tomb afterward. This tomb is similar to other mausoleums with its archways and domes, surrounded by greenery, but the next nearby location, the Bara Gumbad, is a splendid ancient monument. Found in the Lodhi Gardens, this edifice is a solid structure, with its dome surrounded by lesser ancient buildings. It's perfect for wide-angle panoramas of the whole area. Here your tour ends, and you bring home a wealth of incredible photographs of Delhi's beautiful locations.

What people are saying about History Tours in Delhi

Edyta Published 527 days ago
This is a tour you want to attend. Very interesting, colorful and well organized, especially if you have not much time in India. Bear in mind however that tour covers basically the transportation only. All tickets (as per the tour rules) are paid separately and are from 200 to 3500 rupees per person for foreign nationals. You are expected to tip handsomely 4 guides that will take care for you in deferent cities and 1 driver who will be with all the time. You will be expected to invite the guides and the driver for lunches and even contribute to the parking violation tickets, your driver may get. Be prepared to travel for many hours by car between New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The worse and longest was drive from Jaipur to New Delhi: 6 hs in the car!!!

It was really worth it.My driver for three days is Mr Gopal , he is such a nice guy and he lends me his internet of which made me so happy why well you are travelling for many hours i totally need it,he is always on time and he drives safely too. The ist day (Delhi)my guide is Dilip, he knows the story and it is interesting to note of what transpired during those times. And he lets me freely choose what i want. And that is a good thing coz it should be on my own conveniences.Plus i want to reach Agra by afternoon. On the 2nd day, my guide is Raschid since i read a lot about the taj mahal, what he said was just a recapped.lols.And I like it coz he took good pictures of me like he is the photographer (that's what i dont like about solo travel nobody will take your pictures ) And for the 3rd day it is Mr Kesto, he is like a grandpa coz he take cares of me.And of course, my pictures too.All in all ,this trip is a 5 star for me.From the driver to the guides, they all work positively and happily and the most important one is giving in to my choices.

Really recommend this tour to my family and friends who are going to India for Sightseeing. Worth the trip if you just have less days to do all the sightseeing. The owner was Mr. Moin who are a very responsive and nice guy, we got Innova car and it was very comfortable. Our driver Mr. Mohan is a very reliable and comfortable person, sometimes I feel uncomfortable if people speak too much or didnt speak at all, Mr. Mohan always speak at the right time and tell us interesting stories Our guide are also nice and friendly one, from Kanee Singh at Jaipur, Sameer in Agra, and Shailendra in Delhi. Most of the knowledgeable in their own area. It was a Pleasant experience afterall

For the tour itself, other sites visited are okay, but the Taj Mahal is just incredible, and more than compensates for the rest. Tour in April is very hot; try to schedule your tour during the winter months for better weather (though longer queues according to our guides). Before the tour, the tour operator contact, Mr. Moin, was responsive enough. During the tour, we had a good driver who took us to all the sites. The car used was okay, comfortable enough. Our tour guides, Mohammad Rafeeq (for Agra), Raghu (for Jaipur), and another one for Delhi (sorry forgot his name!) were all superb and took care of us for the duration of our tour. Special mention to Rafeeq who even met us the night before the Taj Mahal tour to make sure everything is set for the sunrise tour. A word of caution for those planning to hire the services of an on-site photographer at the Taj. Make sure you agree on the terms upfront very clearly. We hired a photographer on-site for Rs100 per printed picture with digital copy. After more than an hour of photo session, he said he was going to give us printed copies but NOT the digital copies. He said if we want the digital copies, we have to get the package for Rs10,000! Simply ridiculous! We just wasted precious sunrise time getting photographed then after getting attempted to be ripped off! Good thing our tour guide willingly took the shots for us and even helped us get the more beautiful views of the Taj. Booking with Klook for this tour was very easy and convenient. Overall, I would recommend it!
