Mumbai is known for many things, and one of the most noteworthy characteristics of the city is its distinct mix of culture and religion. This day trip brings you to Mumbai's most famous temples, all of which are hallmarks not just of the locals' religion, but also marks of how they affect daily life. From your hotel pickup, you will head to the Iskon Temple where you'll hear its daily, hypnotic chanting. Then, you will see the Jain Temple at Malabar Hill where many of the locals come to pray. At the Babulnath Temple, you will see the oldest architecture among all the temples and see the devotees from far and wide making their offerings to Shiva, their God Lord. You will then proceed to Mahalaxmi Temple, where the Hindu goddess Adi Shakti, the goddess of knowledge, stands in multiple incarnations. The golden roof of the Siddhivinayak Temple is your next breathtaking sight, and it is dedicated to the elephant god Ganesh. To end your day, you'll visit the flower markets of the city, and discover how it's the source of all the flowers that you will find offered or gifted throughout the city. It's a true glimpse into the religion and local culture of the city of Mumbai.

What people are saying about History Tours in Mumbai
DINESH was my guide. It was the finest and most memorable tour I’ve ever taken. This tour guide deserves all the credit. He knows the ins and outs of the city and the temples. His timing was impeccable. We had no waiting. It was a really fun adventure with DINESH as expert and affable guide. I learned so much about the spiritual practices. The story of Ganesha and that temple. ... Lord Shiva. ...Unforgettable. The morning at the flower market. ... Krishna center ...I loved every minute. Bravo. This tour and its wonderful guide at the helm made my Mumbai stay worth the trip. Thank you so much.
Our tour guide Nosh is good. He tells us history and stories of Mumbai. We went a lot of places for sightseeing, one of the most unique experience was taking the local train. He brought us to a famous restaurant for lunch and beer, which taste good. The tour, the guide and the driver are so nice, highly recommend to take this tour if you have short time staying in Mumbai.
The activity was well scheduled and the transport service was excellent. They picked us up even when our hotel was located North of Mumbai. They kept to the prescribed schedule and got us back at the hotel on-time. Our guide, Ganesh was knowledgeable and answered all of our queries. He also took us to a good restaurant for our lunch. Overall, he was very accommodating and we really had a great time! Highly recommended.
We had a fabulous time with our amazing guide Ganesh. This tour gave us an incredible insight to this colourful city, and revealed some hidden gems we would never have found on our own. Ganesh was informative, entertaining, and extremely flexible to our needs and wants. We travelled with a 10month old, and he made sure we had the time and space to feed and change him. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone and if I came back to Mumbai, I'd probably do it again. Thank you Ganesh!
I was picked up on time from the location where I stayed. My guide Akshay is from Mumbai and he did a fantastic job of providing all the essential information on history and sights. Our driver Ali was also super careful during the whole journey and I was put at ease during the whole half day tour. Thanks again for a wonderful time!
I got Dinesh as my tour guide. Nice guy, easy to talk to and he try to answer any questions you may have. I was on this tour alone and as a lady, I felt safe with him around. He also went out of his way by treating me to a delicious samosa with coconut chutney, helping me to break my big note so I can tip the guy who brought me around the insides of dhoby ghat, bringing me to a pharmacy store to get some stuffs. Great way to learn about Mumbai through this tour. It will be tough to replicate yourself because u need to plan the end to end transportation through so many places, and I really prefer learning from someone than having to read up on google.
