Workshop: Freaky Control Information

Freaky Control is a hands-on workshop by multi-disciplinary performing artist and science educator Kulu Orr. In this workshop, you will learn to construct digital musical instruments from household objects, play music with them, and understand the underlying science and technology behind the award-winning show, Control Freak.

Notes:

• You will need to bring either a smartphone (Android or Apple iOS device) or a portable computer (e.g. laptop, iPad) that can connect to WiFi for the workshop. Please ensure that your device is sufficiently charged to enable at least 1 hour of usage during the workshop.

• No prerequisite skills or knowledge are required.

• Advisory: Tickets are sold in either twos, threes or fours. You will be working in groups. Children below the age of 10 need to be with an accompanying adult. Each ticket admits one. Accompanying adults must be 16 years old and above
