Fiji Blue | Live in Singapore | Concert Introduction
Dreamy and lush maestro Fiji Blue aka Trevor Dering will be making his Singapore debut at *SCAPE The Ground Theatre!
The LA-based artist sets wistful lyrics to laid-back dance grooves, dubbing their sound "sad boy chill house." Mixing indie, R&B, and singer/songwriter influences, their self-released singles such as 2020's "Butterflies" have racked up millions of streams.
Hailing from Berklee College of Music, Trevor Dering relocated to Los Angeles and started Fiji Blue. A demo of a trap-influenced R&B song titled "Indigo" was uploaded to SoundCloud in 2018, and official singles "Space Makes Me Sad," "Numb," and "Day by Day" all appeared in 2020, gradually taking the Fiji Blue sound in a more house-influenced direction. Numerous other tracks arrived in 2020, including the heavily streamed singles "I Should've Told You" and "Waves," as well as a cover of Clairo's "Sofia." The shimmering "It Takes Two" was released in 2021.
Fiji Blue released his full-length debut “I Loved You, What Happened?” this year, with hit singles “Dance When You Cry” and “Feel Something”
