Hanok Hanbok Rental has a lot of ladies and gentlemen Hanboks you can choose from in a variety of colors, however for 2XL american men's size, it's really hard to get one. Jenny and her sister are very helpful and friendly- they can speak english well too. The Cheongdokgeung palace is the closest one you can go from the rental place and it takes like 5 mins walk. Thanks Hanok for the wondeful hanbok experience.

Choosing Dorothy Hanbok was the best choice we made on this trip. The owner of the shop was very, very nice and very attentive. She was very considerate of the designs and hair style that I want. I was also able to pick which hairpins and ornaments I can us. As for the qualitybof the hanbok, the designs were so good and the quality of the hanboks were good, no signs of wear and tear. They also provided a peti coat inside to give more volume to the hanbok. Out of curiosity, I found one more shop just outside the palace grounds, but the price was triple of not more than what I paid for yet the quality was not that good.

We loved this experience. The staff will help you choose the outfit based on the amount you paid and if you hired a photographer, they will shoot you and guide you promptly. The photos arrive via email about a week or so later. we’re excited to get them.

✨ 5/5 Experience! Renting a school uniform in Seoul was one of the highlights of my trip! The uniforms were clean, stylish, and looked just like the ones from K-dramas. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they had a variety of styles and sizes to choose from. It was such a fun way to explore places like Ewha or Hongdae — I felt like I stepped right into a drama scene! Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Seoul who wants a unique and memorable experience. 💖📸🇰🇷

The rental store offers variety of hanbok which made it harder for us to choose--because they are all pretty. Plus, the store is just right across the entrance of the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Not a long walk. The costume can be a little uncozy to wear during sunny day as they are made of silk so a little less walking to the palace is helpful for a less sweaty experience.

We had an amazing experience!! There are soooo many beautiful hanbok's to choose from it made it hard to choose! I would recommend choosing the premium hanbok option as you get to choose from more options. You get your hair styled with your purchase as well and get to choose between a half up braid option or a full braid option (or you can pay more for another option of hairstyle). I also opted for more hair pieces used in my hair which was worth it (only an extra $3.50 cnd or 3500 won). This company is so worth choosing and you will leave happy. They are all so kind, patient and helpful! If you are wondering which hanbok place to rent from, this is the one!!! (Also it is easy to find and close to two traditional palaces within walking distance). If you want to walk through the secret garden of the one palace, make sure to note the times it is open as we went too late. Also 2 hours was enough time to enjoy the hanbok. The hanbok shop is very close to Changdeokgung Palace and easy to find! It has a wide variety of hanbok styles, and we chose the premium serie which is reaaaaaalllly beautiful 🥰. After helping us put on the hanbok, staff also did our hair styling. The manager ( I guess hahaha) speaks English fluently and all the staffs were very patient, so we had absolutely no communication problems. When we finished our hanbok experience, they also kindly showed us where the luggage lockers were located.

Everything is good, staffs were helpful able to speak simple English, but they missed out the most important basic information, the store's name and how to go there , not just the address only which Google maps could not navigate...only NAVER map will work. Take note :store name is GAMSUNG GYOBOK Main Branch, not the one beside Lotte World entrance gate (Wild Gate) when you get out of Jamsil subway station in the basement, those are pop up stores without prior reservation. You must go to the store which is located outside, behind the lake (outdoor theme park), about 10 minutes walk. Go to exit 3, walk straight towards the Lotte World Big Logo, find the way until you see on the right hand side the lake, at the intersection turn right you will find the building, they are at 4th Floor.
