Chiang Mai Province Day trips

This combination of elephant camp + sticky waterfall + rafting has just the right length of time to be able to play for a whole day. It's normal for the morning pick-up to be late. They told me they would pick me up at 8:20, but it was almost 9:00 when they arrived, so be patient and wait. This time, after picking up everyone in the morning, it was already 9:30 before we officially set off. Because of the time arrangement, we went to the sticky waterfall first, and only gave us an hour to play. We played two rounds in a hurry and didn't enjoy ourselves, and there were a lot of people at the sticky waterfall in the morning. The elephant camp later gave us plenty of time for cooking, feeding, and bathing with the elephants. The format is quite diverse, which is richer than the elephant cafe. The rafting is fixed for about 40 minutes. Finally, we started to return around 5 o'clock. The price is only 10 or 20 yuan more expensive than a certain pig in China, but the price is basically the same when using coupons. It seems that Klook's overall evaluation is better. It is said that there are guides who speak better Chinese. Our group was all Chinese, and we were assigned an English-speaking guide. I personally don't think there is any difference. Simple English communication is enough and does not affect the tour. Worth recommending, especially with children, who love the sticky waterfall and elephant camp.

Had an amazing day with Aoun. She organised everything perfectly and she provided lots of insightful information while maintaining a light heart. It was an all day journey, however she ensured we had stops to get drinks or buy some souvenirs. Recommend!

Itinerary: Pick-up from the hotel around 1 PM sharp. The vehicle is air-conditioned and the drive to the park is about 1 hour. After getting off the vehicle, you will be divided into two groups, one with a Mandarin guide and another with an English guide. After placing your personal belongings in a lockable locker, you will change into a Karen traditional shirt. Then, you will receive an explanation of elephant communication language and herbal ball making, after which you can feed the elephants and interact with them for photos (you can ask the guide to help take group photos). Afterwards, you will walk with the elephants in the jungle. At the river, you can apply mud to the elephants and bathe them. After the bath, you will return to the camp for a quick rinse, drink hot tea, and then take the original vehicle to their cafe for refreshments (fried rice, spring rolls, soup, and fruit are available). The cafe is located by the river, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Finally, you will be transported back to your Chiang Mai hotel. Guide: The whole activity is great, the staff are very friendly, and the interaction with the elephants is natural. They do not force the elephants to do anything. In addition, the park also has a baby elephant named Ai Ai, who is not yet three years old, and is very playful and cute.

we got picked up and dropped off from our hostel in a private car. it was extremely comfortable and our guide Dom was lovely! we got a text the night before with exact timings which was extra helpful! we had the perfect amount of time at the sticky waterfalls! it is beautiful! we then got taken to the cafe to soak up the views! we had 40 mins to chill here who was lovely! overall a great excursion if you are in a smaller group and don’t want to get a taxi there and back!

Pick up was straightforward - guide Mint will call out name so you won't miss the bus as long as u reach there on time. He gave a breakdown of the schedule so you know what to expect. Itinerary may change up, especially during peak season, but will still get to go every stop in the package. Mae Klang Waterfall was pretty but Wachirathan Waterfall was just spectacular. You will be sprayed, but it's the largest waterfall in the mountain so why not. At the Karen Hill Tribe Village, we tasted Arabica coffee, cascara drink, mixed flowers & butterfly blue pea tea. The walk around the village was scenic + there's no hard sell of items. Lunch service was fast. Thankful people were willing to queue to take pics at the highest peak of Thailand spot compared to the coin wishing stone! Weather is cooling up there. To get to the twin pagodas, have to take the songtaew instead of own tour van. Mountain views were lovely. There is a flower garden too. Hmong Community Market lets u try local delights.

The tour guide was so nice, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. Our tour guide was Rainee. I did enjoy the whole tour! I was not expecting that I will have the chance to visit Northern Thailand’s boundary, Golden Triangle via boat, seeing Myanmar, Laos, mountains of Tibet from afar via the Mekong River. For me, this was the most amazing part of the tour! I’ve been to lots pf temples but the White Temple so far is the most fabulous one. I love the blue coconut ice cream we had outside the Blue Temple. The Black Museum features different kids of artwork inspired with black-colored artworks by the Chinese artist himself. The temple has a cool environment outside surrounded by trees and there’s a lake there too. Our lunch was bland or maybe that’s really how Northaern Thai people prepare their food not to make it too salty so that foods served are still healthy. Overall, I enjoyed the whole tour It’s worth the money you paid for. Highly recommended!

A long day (picked up at 7:30 and back at 8pm) but well worth it. We had not booked to go into long neck village but all the money goes back into the village so we decided to go & it was great. White temple is stunning & loved the black house.

Took a one-day tour to Doi Inthanon today. My tour guide was Sathaporn Pinkaew. He was amazing, very friendly, funny, and always smiling at us, truly representing the warmth of the Thai people. The itinerary was also very well planned and efficient, and we were lucky to have such amazing weather. A truly memorable trip.

the tour was interesting and the tour guide was very friendly and spoke very very good english. we enjoyed the waterfall although we expected a bit more trekking. we also enjoyed the waterfalls very much. the only problem we had was the van was a bit cramp and stuffy and we all felt car sick.
