    Warehouse Hotel Staycation Experience Cover

Shara and her husband recently had a staycation at The Warehouse Hotel - one of Singapore’s most sought-after boutique hotels. She felt like it was a holiday come true, even for a weekend.

I’m sure there are many couples like us; we’ve spent many months preparing for our wedding day, only to realize that we will need to make alternative plans due to the current circumstances. Since there wasn’t going to be any banquet dinner to prepare (or rush) for after our church ceremony, we decided to go ahead and book a staycay just so we can ride on the wedding high and pretend like we’re on a holiday, even if it’s still within Singapore.

The Warehouse Hotel was an easy choice for us amongst the various staycay options on Klook - we love boutique hotels as they are extremely cosy with fewer rooms and we have heard a lot of good things about the Lobby Bar!
It’s not the real deal like a honeymoon to Japan or Australia, but hey it’s 2020, so this got to be our most relaxing holiday yet.

    1. We got a cosy room with hidden surprises

    The Warehouse Hotel Room
The Warehouse Hotel room was cosy and even comes with Ashley & Co bath amenities.
The charm of The Warehouse Hotel certainly extends beyond its lobby of cushy leather seats right into their rooms. When we first stepped into their room that overlooks the Singapore River, we were pleasantly surprised with how welcoming it felt with all the earthy tones, copper trimmings, and even an in-room plant. Home goals right there.
    The Warehouse Hotel Minibar
Each room comes with a well-stocked minibar that has more than meets the eye!
As we started to explore every corner of the room, that’s when we started to find out some pretty cheeky surprises hidden in plain sight. Playing into the history of the neighbourhood with vices, The Warehouse Hotel serves up its own ‘Minibar of Vices’, and we chose to let it remain hidden for the rest of our stay ;)

    2. We gave our attention to each other without work as a distraction

The Warehouse Hotel Lobby Bar Drinks
We could choose from a selection of 10 cocktails that are inspired by the history of the neighbourhood that The Warehouse Hotel is in.
Remember the lobby with the leather cushy seats? We actually spent quite a bit of time there, thanks to the complimentary cocktails served at the Lobby Bar. Thanks to social distancing measures and definitely the help of some delicious alcoholic drinks, we got the privacy to chat and reconnect with each other. We could have spent more time there, unfortunately, each guest is only entitled to one free drink!
    The Warehouse Hotel BB King
We enjoyed the B.B. King cocktail made up of banana whisky, smoked maple syrup, and barbecue bitters

    3. We threw our diets out of the window and had a weekend all about food

The Warehouse Hotel Breakfast at Po
Breakfast was served at Po, The Warehouse Hotel's own restaurant.
Breakfast at The Warehouse Hotel is served up at Po (read as 婆) and we could choose from five different local-inspired and international sets, including Bak Kut Teh, Curry Chicken, and a good-old English Breakfast. For those feeling hungry, you can also ask for additional sides like cold cuts, cheeses, and even salads.
    The Warehouse Hotel Po Lunch
We really enjoyed the modern twist to local dishes at Po, where we also used up our $50 FnB credit that comes with our staycation package.
After taking yet another walk around the neighbourhood after breakfast, we eventually returned to Po for lunch to finish up our $50 FnB credit that comes with the room package on Klook. We ordered the Wagyu Short-Rib Rendang and Carabinero Prawns and Konbu Mee, and really enjoyed the atas twist to these local dishes.

    4. It was like cafe hopping in Sydney all over again

    The Warehouse Hotel
We really like the location of The Warehouse Hotel and gave us the opportunity to explore Robertson Quay.
Just as Sydney is famous for its cafes, we were here at Robertson Quay lined with great cafes like Common Man Coffee Roasters, Carrotsticks & Cravings, and PS. Cafe. We took quite a few strolls around and really enjoyed the laid back vibes of this particular part of Singapore away from the hustle and bustle of town. With a coffee in hand from Toby’s Estate, it was really like a throwback to my trip to Sydney.

    5. We got ourselves a private rooftop pool

    The Warehouse Hotel Pool
The swimming pool is situated on level two and overlooks the Singapore River and Robertson Quay.
With safe distancing measures put in place, The Warehouse Hotel only allows one room to utilise their rooftop pool at any one time. And that’s how we got our own private pool that overlooks the Singapore River!
