We're currently back in Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) to help curb the spread of COVID-19 community cases around Singapore, and with this announcement comes tighter restrictions that would affect staycations, attractions and activities until Wednesday, 18 August 2021.
Here, we will answer your burning questions on what’s different, what’s allowed, and what you can expect from a staycation during Phase 2 (Heightened Alert).

Are staycations allowed in Phase 2 (Heightened Alert)

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has announced on Tuesday, 20 July 2021 that hotels are still permitted to providing accommodation to guests for the purpose of leisure, aka Staycations. However, there will be restrictions to dining options and the usage of hotel facilities.
TLDR: Yes, staycations are still allowed, but with restrictions to the usage of certain hotel facilities and dining options.

Hotels that are open in Phase 2 (Heightened Alert)

There are currently 252 hotels (updated 7 July 2021) that are open and you can check out the full list of updated hotels on the Singapore Tourism Board website.
Klook takes the increase in locally transmitted COVID-19 cases seriously and we are supportive of the measures announced by the government to curb the spread of the virus.
All hotels with staycation packages on Klook will comply with the Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) measures, which includes:
    • Ceasing dining-in at F&B outlets in hotels
    • Accepting no more than 2 individuals to a guest room or pair of inter-accessible guest rooms on any single day (except when guests are from the same household, i.e. same residential address)
    • Staggered timings for on-site facilities
    • Contactless measures where possible
In addition to adhering to current measures, many hotels have been certified SG Clean.
