2021 public holidays and long weekends in Singapore

It’s the start of a brand new year and it’s not too early to start planning for your 2021 annual leave! While 2021 has got fewer long weekends than 2020, we’ve got just the plan for you to turn the 4 long weekends into 9 with the help of your annual leave.
While it still remains uncertain whether we’ll be able to travel just yet, thankfully there’s still plenty to see and do right here in Singapore!

    February - Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year this year falls on Friday and Saturday and which means if you take Monday, 15th February off, you can enjoy 4 days of rest! We all know how tiring hosting relatives can be. After 2 days of nonstop celebrating and fending off awkward questions, what you’ll need is a relaxing retreat away to recharge your batteries.
PSA: For those with a bae, the 14th is also Valentines Day so make sure you plan a surprise early!
    The Warehouse Hotel Room
The Warehouse Hotel room was cosy and even comes with Ashley & Co bath amenities.
We suggest a staycation at The Warehouse Hotel, an industrial-chic hotel located opposite the bustling Robertson Quay. Your night stay includes dining credits that you can use at the mod-sin restaurant Po and 2 complimentary cocktails for you to celebrate surviving all the Lunar New Year visiting.
P.S. They’ve even got a mini bar of vices for you to spice up your Valentines Night.

    April - Good Friday

Take Thursday 1 April 2021 off and enjoy a good 4 day break on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
    SG Chinatown Murders Game Tour
Instead of an easter egg hunt, why not try out a different kind of mystery hunt around Singapore? The Chinatown Murders tour is a walking tour like no other. As you make your way along the streets of Chinatown, you will be given a series of puzzles and clue to solve a murder mystery.
Learn about the history of the streets through the characters of the game and the route you take will be determined by the way you interpret the clues given.
Other cool things to check out in Chinatown:

May - Labour Day and Hari Raya Puasa

There’s going to be 2 long weekends in May, a good break after hustling hard in the first half of the year.
    Lazarus Island Beach
Head to Singapore’s Southern Islands for a day and disconnect from daily life. There’s plenty to see and do on the islands from having a picnic at Lazarus Island to checking out the resident Tortoises of Kusu Island. Enjoy the islands free and easy at your own pace but be sure to keep your eyes on the clock without missing the last ferry!
    SG Southern Islands Tour
Set sail on a private yacht across the glinting waters to explore the wonderful Southern Islands.
If you’re looking for something fancier, you can also enjoy a yacht tour around the Southern Islands! You can even pick up some sailing tips and know-how from your skipper. Light lunch and refreshments are also provided on board so you won’t have to worry about being hungry at sea.

    July - Hari Raya Haji

    kampong gelam
During the Hari Raya break, get in on the action at Kampong Gelam! Visit the famous Sultan Mosque – also known as Masjid Sultan. While the mosque is currently closed to visitors except for prayers, you can still enjoy its gorgeous architecture outside. Afterwhich, head to the charming Haji Lane to get shopping or try out a craft workshop.
