    Singapore-Hong Kong Travel Bubble

[Updated 26 April 2021] The Singapore-Hong Kong Air Travel Bubble (ATB) is set for 26 May 2021, and Singaporeans can’t wait to head over to the land of dimsum and shopping, before working it all away on some of Hong Kong’s most famous trekking routes.
With the resumption of the ATB, stricter conditions will be put in place prior to travelling between both countries to ensure the safety of the citizens of both nations.
Here at Klook, we’re just as excited to travel as you, and being Singaporeans ourselves, we’re kiasu enough to do all the homework for you. Here’s all the information you need in one place.

How to qualify for the ATB

There are 5 qualifications you’ll need to be part of the Travel Bubble:
    1. Travellers will have to remain in Singapore or Hong Kong 14 days prior to their departure, this excludes any time spent in quarantine or stay-home notice
    2. Travellers from Singapore must download and install Hong Kong's LeaveHomeSafe app before their departure
    3. Test negative for Covid-19 before departure from Singapore and upon arrival in Hong Kong
    4. Travel by the designated flights operated by Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific
    5. Singapore work permit or S-Pass holders working in (construction, marine shipyard, process) sectors are excluded from travelling from Singapore to Hong Kong under the ATB
If you qualify, congratulations, you could be on the next available flight to Hong Kong.

What to do before departing Singapore

Here’s a quick rundown of everything you’ll need to do before flying.
Step 1: Purchase your ticket for a designated Air Travel Bubble flight.
As there are non-Travel Bubble flights being operated, do make sure that there’s a clear note that indicates the flight is part of the Air Travel Bubble!
For flights departing Singapore to Hong Kong, there will be one flight per day on selected dates from 26 May to 9 June 2021, with up to 200 passengers per flight. This number will increase to two daily flights with up to 200 passengers per flight from 10 June 2021.

Step 2: Take a Polymerise Chain Reaction (PCR) Test within 72 hours of departure
This is to ensure that you’re Covid-free. You’ll need to call the clinic to book the test slot, and be tested negative within 72 hours (3 days) of departure. The full list of clinics can be found here. According to ICA, if you’re at the clinic 38 hours (~1.5 days) before your flight, you may not get your results in time, so please call and plan ahead.
    Expected cost: S$200
Step 3: Complete your Health Declaration Form

Find the Health Declaration Form here.
Before departing Singapore, you must fill in and submit a health declaration form within 48 hours prior to your arrival in Hong Kong. This is simple enough to fill in and you should be done within 10 minutes. There’s a QR code here that you should take a screenshot of as you’ll need it upon touching down in Hong Kong. We’ll recommend taking a screenshot and keeping it in your phone gallery so it’s easily accessible, even if you’re not connected to the internet.
    Step 4: Book a post-arrival Covid-19 test
You’ll be required to take another test upon touching down in Hong Kong, and you WILL be denied entry if you don’t book and pay for this in advance. You will also have to remain at the Hong Kong airport while awaiting your results.
The website to book the test is not yet live, but will provide an update as soon as it is!
Note: Non-Singapore Passport holders may have to apply for a visa

Step 5: Present QR Code of your Health Declaration
Remember the QR code in Step 3? Here’s where you’ll need it. Present the QR code to the officials and undergo a routine temperature check.
Step 6: Undergo the PCR test
This is when you’ll be taking the test you booked in Step 4. Do note that the test can take up to 4 hours, so please ensure you have your portable chargers, water snacks, and all other essential 21st-century living necessities to tide you through. You will not be able to leave the airport till the results are known.
You’ll receive an SMS and an email when the test result is done.
    Expected cost: HKD499 (~S$86)
    Step 7: Go through immigration
You’re home free. Go and enjoy the fresh air in Hong Kong. You won’t be subjected to quarantine, so you can literally go to Hong Kong Disneyland immediately from the airport.
If you’ve found this guide useful, check out things to do during your stay here
Note: You will be required to go through a Pre-departure PCR test in Hong Kong, which costs around HKD 700 (~S$120)

Clinics in Singapore to get your PCR Test done

Singapore’s Ministry of Health has provided a list of clinics approved for PCR testing, from family clinics to better-known brand clinics. Do note that some clinics do not test children, so please call ahead and check when making your appointment.

    Flights included in the ATB

Not all flights will be included in the ATB. Please double check to ensure that the flight you book is included in the list here. It was announced that Scoot will be operating non-ATB flights, and passengers on these flights will be subjected to quarantine.
Daily ATB flights from Singapore Airlines will start on 9 June and daily flights from Cathay Pacific will start on 10 June.
